Sitting here a little dazed. It's been a rough few months at work so I'm finally taking a much needed vacation. Just got off a 36 hour shift, and the wife and I are just waiting for the car to pick us up to take us to the airport for a nice long 2 1/2 week trip to Europe. All of a sudden, I get an email that just blows my mind. Some generous person sent me a gift certificate to SuperT!!! Not too many of my friends know how big of a fan I am of SuperT (because they don't vape) so I'm pretty sure it was one of you guys. Whoever it may be, I want to extend my deepest gratitude for such a generous gift. I'm not sure what I did to deserve it, but it is very much appreciated! I love my SuperT family....you guys are awesome!!!

It was suppose to be this week but I cancelled it... My son was going to take a job out of state and he would have been leaving / moving this week.. He ended up tuning it down because it was not much more money than he makes now..

I cancelled it to help him get everything ready and then last Friday he told me he was not taking the job and was staying here..

I will probably plan one for next month but haven't decided...

I had a business meeting today, with a local animal rescue. Another store, is opening up room for them to show the cats and dogs who are looking for their 'forever' homes. The more stores that participate, the fewer animals the rescue has to turn away. So cool!

Have you been to the post office lately? I mailed some ELA compression rings. The line was out the door, and down the sidewalk. Ugh.....................

Speaking of healthy living...

My wife and I made homemade cookies last night. She made the batch on the left, and I made the batch on the right.

She was so funny about it. She got really frustrated that mine look rounder than hers. She said she was going to take both to work, and her co-workers would probably look at hers and say, "Aww, that's so sweet that you let your 2-year-old daughter bake cookies."

At least hers taste like cookies. Mine taste more like failed dinner rolls. (Not really, but that's what I told her to make her feel better.)

I am not allowed in the kitchen when my wife cooks, or I have to be quiet when I am. I was a cook for most of my teens and early 20's so I have a tendency to nitpick her methods, but I am practicing restraint.

That is funny! I was a business oriented workaholic. I really hate cooking, but I cooked for my Hubby #1. He was a laid-back old hippy type. He would have never attempted to nitpick. And, was so kind and greatful for every meal. Made the 'torture' of cooking worth it. Then Hubby #2..... I loved that man with all my heart. But, I never cooked for him. Unlike me, he did not know how to keep the 'I'm the boss.' away from home. No way, was I going to do something I hate so much, and be nitpicked about it. So, we would call each other and decide what diner to meet at. It worked. :)
