In the spirit of the season.....what are you thankful for?
I am thankful for my health, for a roof over my head, and food in my tummy. I am thankful for a job that allows me to challenge my mind and truly make a difference in the lives of my patients. Being a critical care nurse is hard....a lot of people die. I have been blessed to hold the hands of many as they leave their earthly life and wipe the tears of their family as they navigate the pain of losing a loved one. I am thankful for the opportunity to be in grad school, even though it keeps me away from ECF.
I am thankful for vaping, as it has saved my life. I am thankful that I am smoke free for 3 years. I am thankful for everyone that is on this forum because we are all here for each other....to celebrate successes and lift us up when we have a stumble or a bad day.
I am thankful for all the hard knocks life has dealt me. They made me a stronger person, and honestly I wouldn't be where I am today if the road was easy. I am thankful that I will sit down to a family dinner next week with my awesome family. I have not seen all of them together in almost 6 months. It is an extra special holiday to celebrate because I work on Christmas this year. I am thankful for good weather and the ability to drive myself to see them. I am thankful for the opportunity to snuggle with my nieces and nephews.
I have so much to be thankful for. I need to remember this when I have a carto that fails me or my juice leaks out of my tank. I really do have it pretty darn good.
