What are your thoughts on the Innokin Disrupter?

Good battery life, a little bigger than other mods with similar specs. I like the interchangeable batteries and colors for customization. Good screen size and usability. Spring loaded pin allows any tank or RDA, ohm reading to hundredth which is nice. The buttons seem to be backwards, the up lowers the wattage and the down lowers it which is a little weird but overall I really like it.
Looks cool. But a bit strange how they are making you buy there own battery. I would be scared to drop this, I can see it separating very easily.
Wouldn't happen. The battery slides into place on rails on either side and clicks in place. I've dropped mine, picked it up, and kept vaping. It's very well built.
Any feedback?
Lots of marketing hype.
First it looked like it was about a new tc mod.
Some proprietary tank/mod setup.
Turns out the noise was about the battery.
And the battery was an odd size battery.
I won one. It's not something I would have bought for my confirmed tootle puffer self, but I'm loving it. It's a little heavy for my bad hands, but easy to hold and fire. And I probably will get some more batteries for it just for the colors. I've already dropped it several times and not done any damage. I'm assuming that like all Innokins it will last for a very long time and be pretty much bullet-proof.

I hate devices that require a proprietary anything.
If this proprietary battery "idea" doesn't do well market wise, how difficult will they be to find? Will Innokin stop making them?

Lipo batteries, like ICR batteries, are not safe chemistry. They require the PCB protection circuit to be able to be used safely. Should that circuit fail and you get a short to the battery, it can vent flames or explode. (I'm not a fan of LiPo batteries. I still maintain that an IMR battery is safer than LiPo or ICR.)
Otherwise, I generally like Innokin products.

Great mod.
Most of my stuff runs standard flat top 18650's but the Disrupter and the Provari each use batteries that don't fit anything else. So they each have there own batteries. Not a big deal in either case. I generally marry a couple batteries to each mod anyway.
The new style battery is fantastic. Battery life was getting to be a pain as the old 18650 style ran its coarse. I can now vape all day at 40w on a single battery instead of several 18650's.
I hope they have a TC head for the batteries someday but if they don't I don't really care. This is a 50 dollar mod not heirloom stuff.
The power head itself is great. Screen is very easy to read. Buttons work great but have a weird layout.
Coming from the power tool world its odd to me that people expect companies to use universal batteries. I'm used to it, my Dewalt batteries don't fit in my Milwaukee tools and thats just the way it is. So you pick one brand and stay with them.
If some one want three mods and bought three Disrupters and 4-5 batteries then they would all fit now wouldn't they??
I have to say I'm with Badditude on this one, once I saw the proprietary battery I was out. I had already made the switch to 18650 style mods by the time it came out. I love not worrying which mod or battery I may be carrying, they all work together.

I think the proprietary battery is far better than the integrated battery enclosed in so many of the regulated mods.
Although I usually tootle puff away on mechs with replaceable IMRs, I'm enjoying the Disrupter at home & in my car.

Buttons arent backwards.
When holding the Disrupter in your hand, the button that is angled slightly down....is down......and the one thats angled slightly up....is up.
Makes perfect sense to me.
Maybe some of you just arent that coordinated.
The compatibility issue is a well proven one in vape history.
A lot of people quit cigs using Halo, and they would have continued to use Halo, except for the fact that Halo's stuff wasn't going to fit a lot of hardware.
I still have some kr808 type flavour cartridges which I wish I could use, but I'm not going to buy a battery just to use them.
