My pet peeve is when a newbie asks for advice on the best set up for them and a person who has only been vaping a couple weeks themselves gives them advice and its misimformation which can result in the new person having a horrible first vaping experience and goes back to cigs instead of having a great vaping exp. from the start.
Not being able to find a case that is just right. Makes me feel like Goldilocks and the 27 carrying cases. "This one is too big." "This one is too small." "This one doesn't have enough little pockets for all my bits and pieces."![]()

I don't know. I bet even Ted Kaczynski has a Provari hidden somewhere in his prison cell. When people think that a Provari is the be all end all mod, not everyone wants to carry a metal pipe around!
I always love this one..."What is your favorite PV?"
Really? Come on! It's the one that keeps YOU from smoking.
Another one..."HV vaping is insane and I just don't see how people can do that!"
Wow, I've been doing it for well over a year. If it wasn't for 6V, I'd be smoking again.
Yet another redundant question..."What type of PV should I buy?"
How in the world should WE know! We aren't you, so pick what you think will work to fit your needs/habits.
Oh and here's the topper for me..."What is the best tasting juice to buy?"
The one that doesn't taste like a skunk's .... smells.
Another reason I don't post much in that section anymore. There are 2 people who do nothing but put out misinformation...neither are very new to vaping but less than a year...more like 6 months...and should know better by now. Unfortunately, the new person is who pays the price...so I completely agree with you.
The thing that gets me is that I've seen a few people who seem to troll the New Member's forum posting the same thing over and over again trying to talk some noob out of buying this piece of equipment or that when they should buy this virtually identical piece of equipment made by a different company. Or worse yet, when the noob asks some trouble-shooting question about the piece of equipment they bought, these people basically say "throw it away and get a ___," or "that's why you should'a bought a _____." I don't get it. Do these people get kick-backs from these companies or something? Why else be such a personally invested banner-waver for company X? What do these people care about who's using what PV? Or is it about patting themselves on the back once they've led some noob down the primrose path? Makes no sense to me. Be helpful and impartial or leave the noobs alone, says I.
I don't think it matters what us noobs hear. In the end, for each of us, the best battery/carto-clearo-tank/juice combination is going to be the one we spent $500 (on the wrong things) to eventually find. because there is no be-all end-all setup for everyone. My bank card has been out of my wallet all week. I've got the number, expiration date, and the security code memorized.![]()
I think the Provari is something most people have to grow into. As of right now, I have no desire to take my hits from a pipe...and I'm not so sure my wife would be cool with watching that. She already jokingly asks if I need a spoon and a lighter when I'm filling my cartos. But that's not to say that won't change in a week or two, in which point I will throw down 180 dollhairs for the Pro, without batting an eyelash. It's still cheaper than smoking for a month.

hahahaha, rotfl! i understand completely.
and yes, a cop did drive by me the other day while i was puffing on this with a 6ml tank attatched, and yes, i did hold my breath waiting for the u-turn and the lights to flash', but hey, its the best vape out there for me, and well worth some paranoia here and there. heeee
for the love of higher powers. i filled a carto/tank today. vaped halfway through the tank and it shorted out.
i have no idea what is causing this. i've used smoktech dcc on this pv without problem for a good period of time. i now use smoktech dcc tanks on a precise +. i mind the o-rings in my 510-510 adaptors. no juice is leaking. all connections are clean and secure. the problem occurs at random, not favoring any one of my 510 adaptors. this is the quickest carto to short out yet, and the one in use with that adaptor previous to that carto lasted for 20 ml of liquid before it started vaping poorly. what. the crap.
my pv is now assembled correctly. the batteries i am using are imr, but they're not the specific battery that were intended (newbie mistake). i just don't understand and it's driving me crazy.
i can't wait until the strata is available for retail. i'm blowing money on cartos like never before, and it's not cool. i used to toss cartos once a week at most, this is unacceptable. i've done some research on rebuildable atomizers and it doesn't seem too overwhelming. i'm not denying any learning curve, but a modular mechanical pv sounds like the way to go at this point. i've gone through almost two boxes of cartos in a couple weeks.
sometimes i notice when the battery charge is about to die it happens. however, on my precise + i often can't really tell when the charge is decreasing because it's consistent until the bitter end more often than not. the last occurrence was sat on a carto i used for 2 days, but the battery still lasted for several hours after the carto shorted out.
