I also do not like the term "vaping." To me it sounds like a combination of the words "gaping" and "vagina".

Just to quote:

Cigarette/smoke stick/stinkies

I generally take a puff

I am a vaper and/or former smoker

PENIS (Portable Electronic Nicotine Inhalation System) or e-cig or PV

Liquid, juice or syzurp

I hate "Squonk", also. I use a bottomfeeder and I squeeze the bottle.

Sounds like we're about to start reading the Vigaping Monologues....

I'm not going anywhere near any of those terms :)

I have to admit that Personal Electronic Nicotine Infusion System is one of my favorites thoguh!

Agreed, but I equally detest calling it an e-cig or anything related to smoking because it isn't.

The only time I call it that is for the benefit of the TSA, or when asking about using it at a bar or something. I generally say "it's called an e-cig, which is stupid as it is nothing like the non e version".

Well thank you very much for planting that indelibly etched suggestion into my consciousness.

As if that wasn't bad enough, some conscientious member follows the gaping whosis with Portable Electronic Nicotine Inhalation System.

Fan-tastic.

Well my new pet peeve is people who pass their pet peeves onto other people...

...especially when those pet peeves remind me of....oh NEVER MIND!

New Pet Peeve: My local village Pharmacy Again!

Step into Pharmacy,
Me: Hello, I'd like to buy a roll of Sterile cotton, I know you don't have any in store, can you please order a roll in for me?

Assistant: You What?! What do want? Sterile Cotton?

Me: Yes Please, can you place an order for me?

Assistant: Well, What do you want it for? Anyway, once you've opened it you do Know it won't be Sterile anymore!

Me: Good Point, but actually it's made under Sterile Conditions, that's why I would prefer to purchase Sterile cotton.

Assistant: I'll check - goes to computer, taps away a little - returns:
No, we don't supply it, you can only get it at the Hospital, or at the Doctors. NEXT!

Go to Different Pharmacy (in town):
Yes, we'll order it in for you, collection after 11am tomorrow.

If I was anywhere else but a Pharmacy I'd understand, but aren't these people meant to know about "Sterile" products?
It's my fault really, I keep going back!

When someone new asks for advice to get started and the response is along the lines of: Variable voltage device, inverted, rectified and inducted to 6000 mah capacity, (but watch the capcitive phase-limited reactance), quadruple coil cartos with custom boron-neodymium rolled mesh to replace poly-fill, and don't forget to only use 1.78 ohm @ 4.8 volts for fruit flavors and 6.1 volts with 2.2 ohm coils for dessert flavors. Oh, and mix your own juice at 63/37 PG/VG for 4.9 to 440 volts and 52/48 PG/VG for 4.89 volts or less.

I am thinking simple is better for someone new!

Here's a couple pet peeves:

The other day I told a client that I had quit smoking and showed him my Ego-T, and then I took 3 hits off it in about 30 seconds and put it down, and he says: "Why are you taking so many drags off that thing, you shouldnt take so many drags off it". Then he asks, "why are you using that in the first place, if it has nicotine, its just as bad as a cigarette"?

I was blown away by those comments, especially since this guy has let himself go physically so bad that he'll be dead inside a year or two, because he became so lazy and apathetic towards life as soon as he retired 2 years ago. He went from being overweight(230lbs, 5' 11"), and now after just 2 years he's about 400lbs! All he does is eat and sit in his new $1500 Lazyboy all day long, and he even sleeps in it, and he criticizes my e-cig! Friggin' hypocrite!

My 2nd pet peeve is when I see people giving rave reviews of a certain brand name e-liquid flavor, and then I try it and its either bad or only fair at best!

My pet peeve is my father. First, I am 37 years old so I consider myself a grown man but I do work for my father. He has been after me to quit smoking for years. I announced to him upon receiving my kit about 3 weeks ago that I had quit smoking stinkies. I proceeded to show him how my PV worked and made sure he was OK with me using it at work. He was fine with using it but he keeps hounding me about quitting.

He can't seem to comprehend the fact that nic does not cause cancer by itself. I finally quit smoking cigs and now all he wants to know is when I am going to stop vaping. And he has also pulled the "You have no idea what you are inhaling" arguement. Really?!?!?!
