Drinking sleepy time and ending the day how I started: BC Djarum. Here's something interesting (at least to me), I mixed a bit of regular Clove that Ms. Chris sent my way a long while back and surprisingly, I don't care for it as much as I crave the BCD. (Not complaining). I might have liked it had I not found the BCD. There must be some "secret sauce" that gets added to Clove to make it so doggone good!

I recall my first introduction to clove cigarettes. Amazing in and of itself seein' as how that occurred back in the days of old when hippies were bold........

Anyhoo,

Mint Dibi is always what comes to mind as the brand.
googled and find nothing for that name or any derivative of it. Then again mebbe remembering "street slang" for it. Everything had secret lingo then.

Black wrapper with a fine thread of some kind spiraled along the length of it. Strong. Whoo baby strong and I did not like it.
Fella offered me a Stuyvesant several years back, it hurt all the way down and all the way back out.

Glory days I tell ya......

fwiw,
Mint Bidis were an indian non-tobacco cigarette alternative that you used to see around a lot that the hippies latched onto ( my aunt used to wear the things OUT). they made a clove version but i don't know if it was tobacco or not.

The ones we used to get when I was in the army were in a really wide pack and I remember it being really shiny with dark red and some gold. I looked for a picture but didn't see anything I recognized.

They weren't djarum supers were they?

I'm sorry about your Ry4, especially after you backed my Clove move... Maybe OTD sent Ms. Chris an Apple.. Might be worth a thought.

I have been racking my brain all day and doing a bit of Googling for pics..... But can't seem to access that 25 or 30 year old file. We used to get clove cigs from a pipe shop (not a head shop pipe shop either :)). Don't believe there was a ton of tobacco in them. Non-filters. Tiny packs. Tiny cartons. Just can't find the brain file with the name. I remember that the pieces of clove were rather chunky and one often suffered a burn hole on the car seat, or wherever you smoked em.... Awwww the good ole days of combustion and destruction!!

If I awaken in the middle of the night with the name, I'll post it, as I am sure you all are waiting with baited breath.....tee hee.

Squonking some Black Clove here.

Ladies and gents, i'm gonna ask that you remove your hats and bow your heads in honor of a fallen hero.
she was a big one and served her week bravely and with honor ( although the end was kind of rough - lots of repeated squeezing in her final kayfun resupply mission).Even the robot band played at the memorial service:

(To be honest her friend tobacco road wasn't looking long for this world. He was lightheaded and tipping over a lot - don't say anything though.we're hoping he survives the weekend)
