So, I'm looking to get a high end atomizer here soon. I've tried AGAs, RSSTs, AGIs, IGOs. I've got or tried all the affordable stuff, time to go a little more on the wild side.

What high end gives you a great vape? Let's chat a little. Warm vape? Cool vape? Neat concept? Genesis? Silica/cotton? What does it?

Discuss! Convince me to spend my money.

Tried quite a few but I'm always sticking with the Phoenix XL (RDA) with a cotton wick.
-> It's the warmest vape I can get since it's with a cotton wick and the coil is very high, close to the drip tip
-> It's a dripping atomizer so that I can drip every half hour or so to change flavor, I don't like vaping the same thing in a tank
-> Easy and cheap to re-coil (takes 10 minutes every 2-3 weeks)

Been using one for 11 months now, didn't find anything else better yet :)

I suppose they all have their place, but $100+ for an atomizer just sounds like flushing money to me. At least the Keyfuns was properly named ...... fun. I didn't know that Rub Goldburg was living in Russia these days tho', but I'll never understand why it should take a dozen machined parts to make an atomizer. Any machined part has a +/- factor, and with that many parts there are just to many pluses and minuses to deal with in my book. QC has to be an absolute nightmare with atties of that nature. I place the Ody, Penelope, and Ithaka in the same category .......... "overkill". Kinda like getting an 18 wheeler to haul your ATV around in.

I understand why RBA's were expensive while we were in the learning stages of how to make them work efficiently, but those days are over. There are plenty of RDA's, RBA's, and Gennies that work well without breaking the bank.

In my book the goal should be to find the vape that we want, and we need to know what we want before we start looking. I had no problem finding what I wanted for $20 bucks.

I like the Kayfun. It's easy to set up and a great vape. I have a Term-C as well and, while I find it to be close in the quality of the vape it delivers, it is a bit of a hassle to set up and a little temperamental when compared to the Kayfun.

I have a few RDAs as well and love them to death--great vapes. I like them with smaller chambers (e.g. IGO-S) for the warmth and intensity of flavor I get compared to RDAs with larger chambers (e.g. IGO-L).

As far as wicking material I'm liking ekowool the best so far. I find it easier to handle than braided silica. Haven't tried cotton yet, even though I hear that cotton wick is the business.

I am using EGO Kanger EVODs with a 1.8ohm atomizer with a 2600mAh EGO Evic set at 7.0 watts and I have no complaints. Wonder taste, excellent Throat Hit and very nice Vapor. Using 24mgs 50/50 juice.

Its actually not the atomizer if its of any decent quality, its the person (you) building the atomizer. Coil, wick, airhole, those 3 items have numerous different sizes, and materials to choose to become your perfect vape. Buy an inexpensive unit lots of different wick and a few different wire gauges learn what is your perfect vape by building it. Then buy the expensive units knowing what to put in it. A kayfun etc are all useless if you dont know how to make it the exclusive atomizer it is.

Most rebuildables are as good as what you put on them. I have an iGo L and I get mixed results. Some days I find no need to widen the hole, some days are bad due to ???? . I think you need to find an atty you're comfy with, and build from there.

On the other hand, I'd buy an HH357 long barrel and try it. No wonder is the standart.
