if using a dual parallel box mod then you will be able to almost double your amp limit as the batteries will share the amp load. to stay safer people say that you should only use 3/4 of this but is upto you

as far as i know the 25r is the best battery atm untill the original vtc5 comes back. personally at my own risk i would vape the 25r as low as .1ohm's but this doesnt mean its safe to

the word is the 25r out performs the vtc5 so long as you dont go below .2 ohms, you still havent said if you are using a dual parallel box mod or not.

pulse ratings on the 25r>> 1sec 100a <3sec 60a. pulsing will shorten your batteries life. hey ho ... 25r are cheaper and less likely fake compared to vtc

Okay. I'm using the sigelei 150 btw, which takes two 18650's in series.

Atomizer resistance has no bearing on the battery current drain (amp draw) in your Sig 150 (or any other regulated VW device). Your power setting and realtime battery voltage are the determinants of battery amp draw.

Assuming fully charged batteries (and 90% board efficiency) you'll be pulling ~19A from the batteries at 150W. At low voltage cutoff of 6.4V, you'll be pulling ~26A from the batteries.

Your atomizer resistance is going to determine the boards output voltage and output current.

Use this tool to model the battery drain:

Battery drain | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators

Set it to regulated, whatever power setting you want, and start with a battery voltage value of 8.4V to simulate a full charge for a pair of batteries in series. You can change the power setting, battery voltage, and atomizer resistance to see their effect on the other values.

VTC4s and 5s are the same amp rating the difference is in the mah. Sony VTC4s are better then the Samsung 25r. I wouldn't go below .2 with a single Samsung if I was using my mech. The best place to buy batteries as countless people on here can attest is illumnn.com I believe that's what its called now but it could be a different website name so just google illumination supply. You can get VTC4 2100mah for around $8. Everything on there is authentic as 1000s of ECF members will attest to. The VTC series is a great battery and while I do have 4 VTC5s in my current rotation and another 8 unopened I understand currently they are hard to come by. Get VTC4s from illumination supply and call it a day. You can get 10 of them for less then $100 shipped if your in the US. That's a steal of a deal as far as I am concerned seeing as before I knew of that site I paid $15 in Canada for authentic VTC4s.

The beauty of a high vv/vw mod is that you don't have to build low sub-ohm coils to get a great vape. In fact, building low sub-ohm works against you. Higher ohm coils use more wire which means more surface area to vaporize juice. That increases vapor production.

With a mech mod you increase the warmth of your coil by building lower ohm coils. However, the electronics in a regulated mod boosts the power coming from the battery so the ohms of the coil no longer control the warmth.

My thoughts about sub-ohm and latest VV/VW devices...
