how low of an ohm load have you taken your vtc4. I have a stillare clone on a panzer and 2 4wrap 24gauge parallel coils under .1 I know it exceeds the amp limit of the batteries but I also know people do it all the time.

You're exceeding the continuous amp draw rating of the battery and are into the pulse rating so your battery is heating up as you use it. Get it too hot and it will vent.

As batteries age and go through discharge cycles their internal resistance goes up. That means the battery will heat up faster. I don't go take it that far. There is also a world of difference between 0.09 ohms and 0.05. How good is your meter? 0.05 ohms is about 80A.

:thumb: This!

I agree that you are putting a LOT of faith into your meter being accurate and precise. Unless you are using a $250+ Fluke digital multimeter, a cheap $30 meter just isn't going to be as accurate or precise as a Fluke precision multimeter, especially in super sub-ohm range.

Also, when pushing batteries this hard day in and day out, it ages batteries much faster than normal. You can't expect a battery to have the same specs under hard use as when new.

I hope you have good medical insurance. Eventually, playing this game of "How low can I go?" will catch up with you. You and Two Face will look like identical twins.

IMHO, what you are doing is irresponsible and unsafe. But its your face, not mine.

Despite the battery specs saying it's a 30A battery, it can pulse out a much higher current. But like others have said, doing this wears out the battery a lot faster. I trust that Sony has implemented reliable, well designed safety features into these batteries, but they didn't intend for their batteries to be used for vaping, especially at <0.1ohms. Nobody can guarantee what could happen if the battery decides to give out while pushing out that much power. Despite being able to pulse higher currents, there's a reason Sony rated these batteries at 30A

For the sake of your face, I recommend not going below 0.2 ohms. I love cloud chasing, but I don't see a point in dipping below 0.4 ohms.

I don't know who you know, but the lowest atty resistance I've seen is 0.15, and that dude was blowing cumulonimbus clouds after like 3 second draws. I don't know why you'd want more than that lol.

these threads and provari threads always seem to show human nature at its finest.

I've been wanting a double like button a few times today... maybe we should have a 3-5 star rated like:).

Edit-
So, what do you expect to gain from sub-deciohm vaping that would be worth the risk?

Hot, hot heat..lol. that's really it

I've been curious about going into centiohm vaping. It seems like 26awg+(or -? Bigger wire:)) needs more heat... not to mention airflow.

I don't see the point in anything below 0.5ohms for dual coils, and quad coils seem pointless to me with what's available in atomizers now.. I like 0.7ohm or higher for single coils.

Edit edit
But I don't like having that much current by my face/in my mouth... I'm curious to the point where these ultra low resistance builds will be hazardous, regardless of the battery being safe.

It's never enough.

I have the capability to produce 500,000volts, so I'll go that route instead...I'll start out with the smaller over potential test sets before I jump into 100kV+... if you want to get in on this... we can stack how ever many of these boxes we want.. each one does 100kV..so the possibilities are endless.. death is one of those. You gotta sign a waiver.

Death or sublimation! I'm in! You gonna bring in juice by tanker truck?

dunno seems quite a few members like to play kissin' cuzzins' w/their coils. methinks DANGER starts somewhere WAY above 3Ω.

and just as well as i'd love a double like button, we could certainly use a dislike, too. though, that might not be much good for morale. you know, supportive ex-smokers and all...

Bah..I want to get into this, but I'm being requested to do things.. but the skin is ~1,000 Ohms wet...towards 500,000 Ohms dry..i don't know what it would be from your mouth, through your chest, and to the hand holding the mod.. could a <4.2Volt signal ever get to your chest, let alone penetrate your skin? I would tip my hat to say, no... but "stuff" happens. :)
