What batteries should I use for a smok Alien 220 paired with a Smok cloud beast (not the baby beast), vaping at 120watts?

What batteries should I use for a Vaporesso Tarot Pro paired with a Smok cloud beast, vaping at 120watts.

I'm using Samsung INR18650-25R but I'm told I could be using better ones.
Can I keep using these, in any of my 2 setups?

Can anyone point me in the right direction here for these 2 setups?

The 25R is a workhorse of a battery, one of the better batteries on the market as it is a bit flexible given it can easily be pushed up to 25amps over its normal 20amp rating. Whoever said that you need better batteries for 120watts and below with a 25R needs a re-education, if you are looking for longer runtime then I could suggest the Samsung 30Q 3000mah 20amp, Sony VTC6 3000mah, or the LG HG2 3000mah, if you are going toward 25amps at around 150watts then the LG HD2, HD2C, HD4, or Sony VTC5A then.

I wouldn't recommend the LG HG2. 120 watts is pushing the limit for a 20 A battery and Mooch has rated the recent HG2s at 18 A. 25 A batteries would probably be preferable.

@Grugs, this link will show you how to calculate the amps you need for a given wattage:

"up to 25amps over its normal 20amp rating" may want to re word that in the future bud, sounds like 45A.

Welcome and glad you joined. I have provided a little more information which might help choosing/evaluating batteries.

Thanks for all the help folks. I'm gunna get some Sony VTC4's. I'll put them in my vaporesso tarot pro running the cloud beast and see how it goes because it doesn't seem to vape at 120watts even though it is set to that. Appreciate all the help and important info. Cheers
Just a thought here: if your machine "doesn't seem to be running" at the set watts, your current batteries might be old, and have therefore lost capacity. If the new ones seem to do better, recycle the old ones...

Thanks Gramdogg. When you say both good batteries do you mean the Samsung and the Sony? I thought the sony went up to 25A...? What does MVA mean? I just want the best batteries in both my setups and as I had four Samsung (2 of them got little bits of their wrapping missing, from removing them to charge them {my usb charge port doesn't work on my tarot pro}) but now only two as I don't want to use the dodgy ones anymore. Might look into getting them rewrapped but I want the Sony in my Tarot Pro and the Samsung in my Alien. This the best way to use what I have?

Max Vaping Amps, not sure why they give MVA since amps lower with mAh you shouldn't use MVA for long. Probaby around 23A MVA after just 50 charges. Samsungs should be good under 60w each and Sony 75w for quite awhile. Thats using 3.2v cut off though, not sure where the AL85 and Tarot cut off. My Evic mini cuts off a 3.1v and snow wolf 2.85v so its lower for me. If one of the mods shows the voltage of the battery (usually in by-pass mode) just run it in power mode at low watts till it won't let you fire it anymore then check volts, thats your cut off.

Do you mean 60w / 75w per battery?
Because I vape @ 120wats on each device with a Smok cloud beast on both.
Yeah, the Alien cuts off at 2.8v so use the Sony in that for sure. The Tarot may be more or less accurate than the Alien, doubt its the batteries just the accuracy of the CPU chips. My Snow Wolf Mini hits harder then my Evic VTC mini at same watts with same batteries and tanks.

Thanks for educating me about batteries, etc...
I'll do as you say. With regard to the Tarot Pro, it is a second hand one that the vape shop gave me cos I thought I'd buggered mine up but in fact it was the cloud beast I'd damaged. I set the Tarot Pro to ramp up from 50watts to 120watts and after I'd done that it kept going through coils at a phenomenal rate so they exchanged the mod rather than the tank itself. So I really don't know how old the Tarot Pro is. It won't charge through USB. I have to take the batteries out and manually charge them with a separate charger. In short I shouldn't have played with the settings and the shop should have replaced the tank not the mod.

I wouldn't recommend the LG HG2. 120 watts is pushing the limit for a 20 A battery and Mooch has rated the recent HG2s at 18 A.

HG2s work fine. In a mod with 2 batts 18+18=36A continuous available even Mooch's conservative rating.

I was referring to the two battery setup. I should have made that clearer by saying "120 watts is pushing the limit for a pair of 20 A batteries".
