actually karr, some of us will work w/ atties as well. i'm looking into building an improved atty myself. i've got it mostly on paper for now. so at least i personally will also take 801 atties (though i'm not yet familiar w/ 401's or 601's yet)

I've used the PTN04050CAS and I belive that all of the PTN04050c are the same, the only difference is form factor and supplier (some have longer connector pins or absence of the pins).
I have one that uses Radio Shack 100uF capacitors and one that uses none. (Originaly I put caps on them but they burned out, so I pulled them and its working fine without them)
There are several threads in the modders section discussing them, I'll see if I can find them and post a link.

Maybe not a mod issue, but I've had incredible success with turning burnt Cartos into drip only atomizers.

It depends on what is wrong with them and how possible it is to get to the internal electonics.
Sometimes they can be fixed, and sometimes they are just parts for the next PV.

So hypothetically speaking, if I were building a laser mod and and I wanted to use an 808 carto on it, I will need a connector that I can get from a dead 4081 battery (since it is opposite to the 901, and an 808 carto can be used on a 901 battery)??? Did I get that right?
Or, could I just use a connector from a dead 808 battery?

Mag Solitares are a GREAT modder piece of equipment. They can be modded in very little time, and they only thing you really have to have are a drill, some rivets, and a couple washers
