What can I do to produce less TH?

I'm not a huge fan of a big throat hit, Especially in the mornings.

I'm currently using an eGo passthrough battery + 2.4ohm smokymizers.

vaping 18mg 50/50 pg/vg juice.

What can I do to lower the throat hit? Better yet, what are the predominant factors that produce throat hit?

TH gets higher with a higher level of PG, higher MG level and lower ohm atty/carto which produce more heat.

I wouldn't recommend going any higher with VG using the Smokeymizer so the other things to try would be lowering the nic level. If you don't want to do that try going with a higher ohm Smokeymizer. Higher ohms will be lighter overall but will give less TH.

Hmm, I'm not completely dedicated to the smokymizers, and I'm definitely looking into buying a mod.

Do higher voltage mods produce more heat therefore a bigger TH?

I'm wondering if I should just stay at 3.7v as I enjoy less TH and a cooler vape.

That may be a bad choice . those things wont wick anything higher then 20% vg + all the other problems . The last pack i tried of them i used for batting practice .

I regularly make my own juice at 70PG30VG up to 50/50. I've never had any problems with wicking! But I also take out the "filling ring" and turn it upside down to improve wicking. That may be your problem.

I have some 100% vg rafalicious and bobas in fluxes vaping away. I have problems with the bobas wicking after one full fill and have to clean it but the raf I get 4-5 fills before having to clean. I think wicking problems are caused more by juice ingredients than pg or vg YMMV

I have found more vg lowers th except in certain juice like the one I mention above. They slay my throat at 24mg. Ego tanks seem to lower th also.

Amazing! I thought I was the only one that didn't like TH. I still get more TH then I desire off of 100% vg and 12mg nic. But I am sure I will work this out downgrading to 10mg of nic.

Are you inhaling directly into your lungs? That will increase the TH. Many, if not most inhale into their mouth first and hold it a sec, then inhale to the lungs.

It was just a thought, since you are already using a fairly high ratio of VG and a medium strengh juice at 18mg. I use 50/50 with 24mg and it does not seem like a lot of TH to me, even with the 1.7ohm Resurrector cartomizers.

Going to a 70vg/30pg ratio will lower the throat hit, but will also mask more of the flavor.
