what cause a High Ohm reading?

Wife's MVP tank/clearomizer has been doing fine, Its an Iclear 16 B
but now its not vaping well, and the ohm reading is 5.6
Is this telling me its time to re-coil?

Try cleaning your connections.

heating, cooling, oxygen, air, cleaning, wet, dry, high VG, dark juices..........all chemical reactions and wire conductivity is going to change.

coils wear out, often increase in ohms when getting older. Predicting coil life, esp. if store bought, almost impossible. I've had some last 2 days adn some last 2 months.

Ohms will climb after some use on a coil, 5.6 though is really high. I suspect one of the duel coils burned out completely and your seeing the increased resistance on the other coil. in order to get a 2.1 ohm duel coil there had to be 2 coils at 4.2 ohms each used. I'd say toss that coil

I took it apart, The top cap on the Iclear coil is a ..... to get off, but one of the coil legs was burned off, the other coil was really
funky, Luckily I had a spare, If Wife aint happy, nobody's happy

God don't I know that. I gave my wife 2 Kayfuns this weekend she had to have purple plastic tips and tanks. Built the first one to 1.0ohm she said its to hot, rebuilt to 2.0 ohms to cold, settled in on the 3rd build at 1.2 and found her happy place. I think its sometimes easier to just get another woman.lol
