What causes carts to leak?

I'm referring to the end-of-life, juice in your mouth leaking that drives me crazy. There's obviously juice left in the cart, but it would rather spit it out than vaporize it properly. Does anyone know what causes this?

Edit for clarity: I'm talking about after one day with no reflls.

The batting breaks down and does not absorb/hold the liquid quite like it used to. It also starts to hold less and less liquid as time goes on. That's my theory anyway.

Also, the atomizer may not be burning quite as hot/fast. These 2 things combined=leaks

some of the vapor condenses as you take a puff and it condenses in the channels to the mouthpiece. enough condensation and it pools up and comes out when you puff

I can't say that I've ever had any juice come out of the mouthpiece unless I have overfilled a carto.

Yea, maybe the condensation, plus suction, plus rubber ring eventually filling up......

I had to quit refilling carts. They would do good at first and then vapor would decrese. It looked like I needed to add more eliquid but when I took it out it was pooled in the bottom of the cart. I used fuval for refilling and added about 7-8 drops. Also it takes time to do all of this and is very messy.

So I quit refilling cart and started to drip. This is much easier and I get more vapor an TH.

I've had juiceget on my lips through a pre-filled carto before. Usually happens if I'm hitting it pretty hard. That leads me to believe it is related to condensation from frequent vaping. Usually doesn't taste or burn too bad.
