iPhone 3GS here. Also had the 3G. This has to be the best electronic device ever invented. It will have to be pried from my cold, dead hands. I take on trips in lieu of my laptop. I love that I can access my PC and servers while in the woods camping etc. and the apps are endless. Web browser...way better than all competition and I've had them all from Blackberrys to Palms to Win Mobile devices.

Oh, and I'm not an Apple fanboy at all. I make my living managing Windows environments but when Apple does something, they sure do it right. My father-in-law has the "droid does" and I played with it quite a bit but it just "doesn't" compare to the iPhone. The interface just isn't near as smooth and refined although I will say it's the iPhone's closest competitor IMHO.

I'm going to try and tether my iPod touch to my Nokia E71 - I get to enjoy the web on the Touch (well as long as Flash is not involved) and Internet radio is on the Touch - even better! That way I can take advantage of the powerful phone features of an unlocked Nokia, avoid the overpriced iPhone price plan and still play with the apps!

My provider said unlimited Internet but NO TETHERING to a PC they said nothing about it being tethered (using the phone as access point) to an Apple Mac or iPod :D

What's a cell phone? Actually I have never owned one and hope I never have to. I love being out of contact. The last thing I want is something that forces me into being on call 24/7. In fact the only phone I have is a Magic Jack and I don't usually have it plugged in at all.

I realize that I am a little strange when it comes to this but I like it that way. The other day before band practice my buddy told me to call the Bass player and when I didn't have a cell he looked at me like I was nuts. He then handed me his and I had no idea what to do with it. Further looks of wierdness came my way.

haha, people keep complaining to me "I have no way to get in touch with you!"

so I was thinking, I should get a beeper. They can be had for like $30/year if I remember correctly. NOT that I would call anyone back, you see.. but at least they can feel satisfied in knowing they got a hold of me! LOL
