Well it turns out my Ovi maps 3.0 free sat nav forever is a BETA so theres a few glitches uploading the maps but it does talk you through walking and driving, very handy in emergencies such as "damn I forgot the sat nav" as for being on call all the time, stick it in 'offline aeroplane mode' thats what I would do :D

I'm chuffed I will be able to find my way forever on my Nokia E71!!

i own the iphone 3gs, its alright. the touch screen is awesome, but the platform is so locked down its painfull. no background apps, no custom icons or background. pain in the .... sometimes.

I guess its a pick up & sync happily type device! There is no way to look at the filesystem so you just never know how clogged up it is!! There could be bits of golf games all over the place causing all kinds of sluggishness! Since I have a Touch I am happy with that, I guess jailbreaking is the answer!!!

But my mega powerful Nokia is very easy to clean up to make sure she is purring along happily tho the games aren't as good!! :)

New York (no, not the city)
A few months ago I replaced my crappy old Motorola dumbphone with a Blackberry Curve 8330. As a field technician I used the GPS extensively (go go Google Maps!) and e-mailed/texted the boss and the office, and also listened to mp3s since I had put my Creative Zen in the washing machine earlier in the summer.

Recently, though, the service was cut off (mother-in-law pays the bill and hasn't) so it's relegated to mp3 player and Sudoku game.

Go google maps!! Did I mention Ovi Maps on Nokia is free online and...get this...OFFLINE too!!!! Lets hope this free GPS business takes off and everyone gets free GPS on all mobiles online and offline!

They should work on wooden phones next, I would really like that! Phones they don't get no soul without a bit of wood on board! Sure the iPhone looks all fancy with its plastic but it lacks a soul and it needs one right now!

Tracphone, for emergency use only......costs me 20 bucks every 3 months.....

That's what I should have. I keep my cell-phone in the glove compartment in case I need to call anyone, which happens about twice a year. This time around, I got an LG something-or-other, and the data plan with the web (my son uses it) - I tried it once, maybe the worst UI on the face of the planet. Back to the glove compartment it went.

Them femptocells(or whatever they call erm) boxes they are becomming more common now I notice! They seem to plug into the broadband and give the customer an instant mini phone mast in their home!, seen about 3 Vodafone ones so far! I don't know if they are free for customers with poor reception though :( Maybe they will be the answer to our bad signal woes!

Currently i am using sony ericsson p1i for almost 2 years. I remember when i bought it, it was super cool because it have touch screen which was incredibly rare in those days. Still, after 2 years it counts as pretty good mobile phone and has a lot of functions that some new phones don't have, so i think it was pretty good investment as it still counts as pretty good phone even after 2 years.
