I am now 14 days in, to vaping like mad :p and my analog use just diminished on its own, down from 1 1/2 PAD to the first few days of vaping like 9 a day, then 8 and so on. Down to the last week when it was like 1 or 2 analogs a day. I was just no longer interested! WOW.

Now the past few days I was disappointed to discover that the first thing I was aware of smelling was dog poop. I have 3 dogs and a poop scoop in the front yard leaning against the house and one in the backyard, farther away. Seems my front porch chair is only about 5 ft away from where the poop scoop leans. Never bothered me before, but one day recently I'm thinking "what the heck? where is the dog poop I smell?" and realized it was 1 turd in the scoop that I hadn't dumped yet!

The next thing I smelled was a rotten egg. I have ducks in a pen. Sometimes they lay eggs. I pick them up and dispose of them when I get around to it (if they are not setting on a nest they just leave them anywhere). Well, this one has been in an empty pen for a couple weeks in the central TX sun. Turns out it is rotten but of course I didn't smell it before :glare:. I mean I was excited to be now smelling stuff but not too happy about the fact it was gross smells . Today I went in Costco and was shopping around when I became aware of a delicious smell. It took a few minutes to become aware of it then to place what it was--I was near the bakery section! It was fresh baked bread!

So I ask you, what were the first things you smelled?

Mine are:
1. Dog Sh***
2. Rotting Egg
3. Fresh Baked Bread!

It's something I haven't been able to do for years, smell things!

good question....
1, stinky dog sweat from my Pomeranian Kubbie (never realized he smelled)
2. lingering cooked onions that filled my house for over a full day
3. catbox odor

My first 2 weeks after the switch were very smelly....bad smelly...but then I started smelling good things like
1. how good a simple breakfast of toast and jam with coffee smelled
2. the fresh smell of ozone from my air cleaners (ionic breeze units)
3.how wonderful lavender shortbread cookies smell as they cool

I recall walking out to my car to make a quick run to the grocery store for something I needed. It was right after a rain shower. I was suddenly floored by the fresh scent of moist earth and grass. I had not smelled this in probably 30 years of smoking. It was a revelation, and I had to just pause and take it all in for a few moments and enjoy it.

I hate the smell of the outdoor ashtrays filled with butts and ashes when you walk through the entrances of a grocery store. I can detect the odor within ten feet. It's a good reminder that I once smelled that bad.

between here and there
Mine was when I opened a pack of raw hamburger from the grocery store. So, of course, had the whole family smell it cause I thought it was bad. Nope, I was told they didn't smell anything, or that's the way it always smells. Smell got better when cooked, but I would not eat it. LOL Turns out, for the next week every time I cooked meat(no matter what kind) I would smell the same thing. Then I started noticing how bad I, my clothes, and my house smelled. I was like a crazy woman, cleaning everything I owned at least 3 times and washing down walls and ceilings. Have the washable paint, but it still took three times before I was happy. When you smoke, you just don't realize just how much people do love you in order for them to put up with the stench.
