Thanks! I feel better knowing it's not just me! The good news is - life will be more interesting now lol

Hi Sharon!

Yup...it's not just you. My first e-cig kit was waiting for me when I got home on a Monday night. Smoked and vaped all evening. Tuesday morning's cigarette tasted so awful, it was my last. That was just over a year ago. First couple of weeks I felt the 'detox' symptoms, and they gradually faded. I started with 24mg, and had similar sleeping issues. Some food flavors I used to like are now overpowering, and others that I didn't like are tasting good.

I discovered eliquids with menthol seem to cool sinuses...but the menthol seems to take over the atty from that point on.

Congrats on dropping the analogs. It is worth the effort, coming from another 30-year smoker. I've been vaping since late February and managed to get to 0 mg nicotine by mid-April. The smells and tastes will keep improving, too.

Thanks... and d*** I hadn't realized until the weekend that I've been smoking for almost 30 years. It would be 30 in February if I make it that long. That's way too long (esp when I feel like I'm 30 still lol). Congrats to you!

That's awesome! Belated happy anniversary! Wow, over 10,000 not smoked. Then I go and do my own calculations and at a year, it will be around 15-18k. That's disgusting (me I mean).

Mornings and evenings are my problem spots. My past has been 3 smokes with first cup of coffee. I am having trouble shaking that. I guess it would help if I'd TRY to vape right off the bat - I haven't yet. But I have been going longer each day. Today it took about an hour vs first 10 minutes for the first. So it is major progress. I'm not sure what the evening issue is. Same thing tonight - just the gnawing feeling. Yet whenever I light ANY cigarette since the first day, it tastes gross and I end up not finishing it. Some issues to work through.

The fruit one I have is strawberry mango menthol and it's much smoother than the tobacco flavors.

Try it, use your 24 mg juice and see how it works for you. If worst comes to worst, you can always resort back to the cig. I've been off the smokes for just over a month - had a few mornings where I woke up and felt like I just HAD to have a cigarette. I went straight to my 24 mg, took a few vapes and the urge for a cigarette went away every time.

The process is different for every one of us - some have it real easy, for others it's a real battle and what works for one won't necessarily work for another. Just remember that the cigarettes you DON'T smoke are the ones that count.

Thanks, this was an older post so I'm doing loads better. Start the day with a lot of water and vaping. I'm still on analogs but this week I was back at work so having to deal with cutting back again. Still, haven't gone over 18 vs 50 a day and on weekend I was down to 7!
