Hey guys. My name is Jarred. I'm not new to vaping, but new to this site. So,I was wondering everyone's opinion on what dna 200 box should I get? Money is not an issue, but defintely part of my decision making process. Personally, from what I've seen so far I like the Volcano LavaBox, and the Cloudmaker, which is yet to ship wait. Anyone have any suggestions?

Money is not an issue, but defintely part of my decision making process.

My only concern with the Lavabox is the small battery capacity it is only carrying a 900mAh LiPo battery.

Honestly, if you're not pushing high wattage (I normally don't go much above 40 watts and I'm looking at getting a DNA200 in the very near future) that 900 mAh LiPo will last you quite a while, I've seen folks talking about getting a full day's vaping on one.

But, if you're looking at more capacity, and you have a decent sized budget, for your consideration:

  • Litt Up Custom Mods "44" - $250, 2000 mAh LiPo (With a lifetime warranty on the battery pack)*
  • Che Customs "Dark Tower" - $249, comes with a 1300 mAh LiPo, but can accommodate a 2200 mAh LiPo
  • Cigreen "SVIP 200" - $175, 1500 mAh LiPo
  • Vaporlips DNA200 - $239 to $420 depending on configuration, up to a 2200 mAh LiPo
  • Militia Mods DNA200 - $260, 1850 mAh LiPo
*Free replacement in the first year, 50% credit after a year.

Between my reuleaux and my vaporshark I'm going to have to say I enjoy my VS more. Mostly because I'll take the zip charging over having to carry around spare batteries.
I thought about the Vaporshark, but I don't like the fact that the screen is on the bottom of the mod. Do you have any problems with scratches or the such on the screen?

If you watch the vids I posted you would see it is recessed. So unless you are sitting it down on the beach, or a table of rocks/crushed glass or carry large quantities of pocket sand I would think it is ok.

Check out timestamp 27:28 here if you do not have time to watch the entire video:

The DNA 200 is an excellent choice :) Depending on your vaping style a 900 or 1300 Mah battery would be fine.
If your a single coil not too high wattage person a 900Mah will be fine. If your a dual coil over 50 watt person a 1300Mah would be better :) I use dual coils around 50 watts, I can easily go all day on a 1300Mah battery

I chain vape. The 900 - 1300 mAh batteries would be useless to me. I have a pair of HG2's in a parallel mod that only last me about 12 - 14 hours at 20W, and that's 6000 mAh. I'd spend more time charging than vaping with those batts. The reuleaux looks tempting with 3 batteries. I'm guessing you would get at least a lil more run time even though it's a series config. External batteries would be a plus for me.

Don't let the low mAH fool you there are 3 cells in there at 900 / 1300 mAH each :)
I run an Aromamizer with dual Ti coils and can get all most 3 full tanks to a charge from a 1300mAH battery!
Thats 15 mills of juice vaped with one charge :)

Not at all. It's a quality device the screen is recessed enough as the gentleman above me said. I did have an issue with getting juice on the screen because the battery door wasn't sitting properly so juice seeped it's way in and gravity did its work bringing the juice to the screen but that was an easy fix. It was entirely my fault as well. Wasn't a design flaw at all.

I can't recommend it enough. It's my all day vape.

How many watts though? Most people I know with DNA LiPo mods are charging two to three times a day. This is why I went with the Reuleaux which I'm using with triple 3000mah 18650's. If I went the LiPo route, I would be thinking about something like the 1850mah Mad Modder box at the very minimum.
