Okay, so let me start by telling you that I have been using an SVD for the past year and I am starting to think it's time to up my game a bit(SVD is starting to have problems). I am an an avid hobbiest but haven't had the funds to buy something better for awhile.

I have been doing 20-30+ hours of research to sell what device I would want and I came down to the VS rDNA 30. Well, upon further examination, I decided I wouldn't go with it since they no longer come with VTC4s among other issues.. My selling points were the larger buttons and dna chip with the VTC being a cool addition.

Right now, I am out of options and need some advice. I have seen the IPV3s, Singeli 100w, hana modz, ZNA and many others and simply don't like the tiny buttons on those devices..

What I am looking for is a 30+ Watt device, larger buttons, quality, and maybe a charging port.. My spending range is anywhere between $0-250 USD. I plain to smoke a Russian 91%, some RDAs, and maybe some older stuff like a Protank 2, Aerotank Mega, etc.

Any advice will help me a bunch. I can't tell you how stressed out I have been trying to find what would be right for me. Thanks for reading!:vapor:

Personally, I think you had the right device at the start. I can vouch for the VS rDNA - it's my wife's ADV pv.

She got hers when the VTC's were still installed, but here's the thing... it's battery is replaceable. You can put a VTC in it if you really want (4's or 5's work great). Other than that hiccup, it checks all the boxes on your list plus it's solidly built and has a nice floating pin connection so any topper fits flush.

If you are not wanting to wait until you can get the new Evolv DNA40, I might suggest the Radix V1. I purchased one when I started back a month ago, and I believe they still come with VTC5 batteries. Pbusardo's button issue was fixed, and I can vouch to that on my unit (he has as well). I have been chain vaping it like there is no tomorrow and have had zero change in the button. My biggest complaint is the 510 connector. It is not adjustable or floating. I believe they, as many others, are working on making a new DNA40 mod.

(different option)
The other option would be check out the REO mod (its what is in papa_lazarou's avatar hand). I just received mine yesterday, and will say I am liking it. I was like you (assume) and leery of mechanical. With the REO there is no need for tanks. To operate you basically have to fill a clear bottle with 6ml liquid and squonk(dripping from the bottom). The spring acts as a safety device so no real risk of blowing up batteries or shorting. Day to day it is rinse, dry-burn, and rewick, You rebuild coils as desired usually once every 1-3 months. Just use you SVD to build it and you have almost zero chance of replacing your spring, which is only $5. You could hit your price mark of $250 if frugal with buying batteries, charger, a spare spring or two, and a new new bottom feed RDA. They have good resale value if you don't like it. As far as durability one guy ran his over with a lawnmower, picked it up, brushed it off and kept vaping. Others have dropped them from roofs and still were in business. I am not aware of a more durable mod. I do not believe any VW mod's manufacturer's recommended maintenance is remove battery and wash with soap and water. You can also buy a rebuild kit for $25.

I agree with HgA1C. The reo is a good investment. I don't have one but they look so classy and the sqounk is very alluring. The reo forum is worth a look

Yup, I am a little over two days in and already starting to sip the Kool-aid. I figure in another week all I will be drinking is the REO Kool-aid.

Lol, any mech mod can have a problem with a short. Reos are not immune. Your spring will collapse and your battery will be toast. At least they have plenty of venting through the squonk hole. But, you need to take the same precautions you would with any other mech. Check your build for shorts, use an appropriate battery for your build, etc.
