I have no idea if a social smoker would get a buzz off vaping. I don't have the luxury of testing that for you.

Back when I was still able to get a buzz from smoking, I know I wouldn't have invested in a PV just to find out if it gave me a buzz, since in my mind 1 cigarette a day was working and was no big deal. I was sure it was going to continue to be an occasional thing that I'd just give up doing whenever I felt like it. (Stupid me.)

I also wouldn't have bothered with a PV now if I could have just successfully quit using any other method. No such luck. Thanks to my own decisions, I have a raging addiction to feed, and frankly, it sucks. So now I am hoping not to break the hearts of those I love by smoking cigarettes that will kill me, and I am using a PV instead.

Because you have gotten your answers many times but you ignore them.

If you aren't a troll, and just want a way to get a nicotine buzz, go for it.
You'll be really, really sorry though, for all the reasons that have been supplied.

I have gotten some answers. There is no definitive answer to this, it's a subjective question.

If that is stupid, then you must all be inherently stupider for getting addicted to normal cigarettes, which you all knew were unhealthy.

Yes - dumb, young, convinced of our own superiority and the ability to NOT become addicted to one of the deadliest vices in the world...... AND YOU'RE WALKING DOWN THE SAME FOOTPATH, SON!

It's not a nicotine buzz - what you feel is the CO2 from burning leaves, paper, glue, and a host of other chemicals that BT puts in cigs.

When people on this forum speak of getting a "high" off the niquid, it's a BAD thing, not a GOOD thing - it's a nicotine OD.....it's not a pleasant buzz, it's a migrane headache, an upset stomach, and wanting to vomit up your small intestines!
I don't understand why everyone finds the concept of wanting to enjoy a nicotine buzz without any health risks so amazingly stupid.
You seem convinced that you know better than the 100+ people who have patiently (and not so patiently) answered your questions on this thead with limited success to get through your head - that this is an inherently BAD idea for you to inhale anything other than air. You are missing a key word in your declaration - there are no KNOWN health risks - and that' only because the products haven't been in the market long enough to find any. What we do is a gamble, son, and we're gambling with our lives. But, weighed against the risks of analogs, it's a gamble we're willing to take.

I, for one, am old, and tired, and not up to continued debates with a wet-behind-the-ears youngling who is determined to walk down the same path as I did when I was 18...... I'll see you posting here a year from now, with a different opening statement - "Hi, I'm a pack a day smoker....."

For me...BINGO! It is stupid to get involved with something that you know will kill you or at least cause problems for the rest of your life that will affect all areas of life.

Forgive me for sounding a bit harsh in my previous responses Rio but if your information is correct, as a 19 year old, starting to smoke now is a bad thing. You've got your whole life in front of you. Nicotine is like any other drug or alcoholic drink. It can and will take over your life and if you are not careful, it can dominate you for the rest of your life.

For me personally, I have smoked for more than half my life. Did I know it was bad back then? Hell yeah! But did I care? Not at the time. Do I look back and think it was stupid? You bet! I'd be the first to tell you. I figured that the smoking and the nicotine addiction would fade away as I got older and more responsible. It hasn't. It has only gotten worse. And because of this addiction, using a PV seems to be much more responsible for those care for me as the smoke was damaging my body. I started out like you. Smoking a few cigs a day. I kept telling myself, I can quit anytime I want. All I have to do is not buy any cigs and "walk away". Unfortunately, at this stage (21 years later), I can't.

I play the trombone for a few local community bands. I stopped for about a year because one morning I woke up and couldn't breathe...literally couldn't breathe. I almost admitted myself and I stay away from hospitals...but it was THAT bad. So I stopped for a whole year knowing that if I went back, I could face the same exact situation that I had just experienced. Even tho I stopped for a whole year (no cigs, very little second hand), I STILL went back...a whole year later! THAT is how dominating the nicotine addiction (along with the other garbage) can be.

So my personal opinion...stop your 1 cig a day. Don't even think about vaping as it is way too easy to escalate the addiction but if you do, good luck and get the lowest amount of nic available. Remember that your body will adjust to your current "nicotine buzz" s you vape more which means that you might have to step up the nic levels...what that means is at that point is that you're addicted and it's hard, very hard to stop and stay stopped, no matter what you do.

I'm not a troll, I just want to know if its worth switching to vaping by finding out if it feels the same.

And everyone has already answered you. Now is the time to quit while you're ahead, stop making everyone angry and make your own decision based off of the information/advice they've given you. Continuing to get a rise out of people when they've already helped you is just silly.

I do have to say that while vaping is a much better alternative to smoking, I'm still wasting my food/rent money on a habit that I could have done without in the first place. All it takes is one bad day and you'll understand. If you want my advice, take that money that you want to waste on PVs, analogs or whatever form of nicotine you choose and put that money into a 401k. It's a better retirement option than an early death.

To the question "What do E-cigs feel like"
You've gotten that answer many times over.
They feel like a relief from the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal.

Hello, your head measurement is way too thick.
But you're fun to play with when I'm bored.

Damn Padres, they suck so bad this year.
What the hell else am I supposed to do until football season?

I read this entire thread for some reason I don't comprehend. I can PROMISE that your question about the nicotine hit has been answered multiple times. Also, by posting a link to that thread you've admitted that you could've found the answer to your question in quite a few threads on this forum. Now I'm going to end my involvement with this by saying with as much feeling as I can muster: Who gives a crap?

As a "newbie" , I probably should keep my mouth shut :D , But , I won't........;)

Why did you start smoking ? If it was just for the buzz , try taking a ride into the mountains as in John Denver's song...Rocky Mountain High...It would have a significant , less negative impact than ANY of the alternatives....IMHO...

I've most likely smoked more years than you have fingers & toes. I started when the "additives" were much smaller than what are in cigs today.....yet , they still were not a "healthy" habit/addiction.

Do you know that there were at least 3 "Marlboro Men"...that died from various health problems...before that ad was not used as much as it had been in the past ? (So I've been told...).

I can only speak for myself...I have not received any "buzz" using the vape approach. I'm just using it as an attempt to quit smoking cigs. I hope it works !

I've wasted so much health and money over the years smoking cigs. It was ssssoooooo easy for others & myself to become addicted.......think about it......I didn't see it coming either.........I thought I could avoid the addiction...

Listen to the good advice you received before I put in my 2 cents worth ! If you're as smart as you sound , you'll quit smoking all together and not start vaping.

Try a "sugar high" instead.......If you need a buzz..........

Forgive me for not readily accepting the whole "vaping only delays withdrawal with no feelings" when there are threads like this talking about the nicotine hit.
It's not any of us that have to forgive you.

It's your parents.
And your boyfriend/girlfriend.
And your future husband/wife.

And your children, should you breed.
