I gave a friend my $80 rolling machine, carton of tubes, and big can of tobacco. Showed him how to use it, felt bad for that but it didn't matter. I told him how great I feel after switching to vaping and offered him a drag on a few occasions before I gave him my tobacco setup, not knowing what to do with the crap (crap to me) just like you (OP). Poor guy's a Luddite, and may die that way. Such a Luddite he broke the machine buy overfilling it with powdered RYO after one carton of tubes. Cold turkey is his only option out of tobacco. I don't feel bad, he refuses to even try a drag of vapor, and was going to buy more tobacco anyways. I don't have to think about it anymore, it's all gone now. I wouldn't suggest trying to make your money back, if you're committed to vaping e-liquid it would be pretty unethical and probably illegal. If you have a "friend" that refuses to try vaping and doesn't need anymore "please quit for your own health" speeches, it's not going to make a difference. Selling the cigs makes you a go-between for the tobacco man. If you can't give the cigs away, just throw them away. If you were a hard drug user and wanted to wanted to get rid of your stash after being happily off of it, your choices would be pretty easy. Tear them apart first, maybe you can get a little satisfaction. You wasted tons more money smoking cigarettes than just those cartons, I think destroying them might be a great FU to your old, bad habit. Self affirmation and all that. Good luck with your moral dilemma.

SHTF supplies for barter. Not saying they would ever be needed but your choices are blow money or have a stockpile of goods for the future. Put some tinfoil on and prepare for the future.

I have a 2lb bag of tobacco, rolling papers (not tubes), and a box of tubes leftover from when I smoked. What I've been doing it just keeping them around for this purpose, and in the meantime, I let some of my stubborn, lazy-minded friends (induced by tetra) who, even after showing them my PV and having them hit it, think of ecigs as over complicated roll a few here and there when in need.

Here's my .02 on the whole thing... There's nothing worse than a reform smoker preaching to any and all! Yes, I've watched someone die from Lung Cancer from smoking Camel Non filters since way back in the 60s up until a week before he died in 2006,...my father...he was pulling out his oxygen tubes, barely making it outside, to light up a smoke. In this day and age, someone who smokes, already knows what it's doing to their body..and in most cases anymore, most everyone knows/has seen someone die from cancer...maybe not lung cancer, but cancer all the same.

I personally would sell them to someone who smokes...get your money out of them and stock up on things (ejuice, batteries,tanks...) that will be helping you save your life. While selling them though, I would tell the person you are selling them to, why you are selling them. Tell them all about Vaping. Trust me, Not everyone knows about this. I know I sure didn't until about a week ago.

Be careful selling them off in a bar, it IS illegal to redistribute tobacco products, that's why its prohibited on craigslist. I had a cop at school that came up to the smokers hut (aka .... hutt) and was asking if anyone had a cig for sale. When someone said its illegal he grinned and walked away. I'm sure the cops would have no problem arresting you for illegal distribution of tobacco products.

So all in all just be careful if you go do down the selling them route.
