I think this post just swayed me toward the provari. I need something that's gonna work, no fiddling when I'm at work, I don't have the time to mess with stuff except on breaks. Plus I need something built like a tank due to the environment of the work.

I made the same decision when upgrading from my eGo twist + Protank2. Got the Provari now so I don't have to mess with it and get the mech for home use/dripping/fooling around since it's a lot more upkeep. I have limited time as it is and don't have the time for my primary device to be a mech.

You really can't go wrong with a Provari. Just remember it's only 510 threaded so if you have any ego threaded devices you'll want to get an adapter with it as well. Also make sure you get a quality charger and batteries.

That's one of the reasons I love my eVic, 510 and ego threads, no adapters needed.

Like someone mentioned earlier, I really LOVE my eVic. They just came out with a new one that will go up to 30 watts and handle atomizers down to .5 ohms (the eVic Supreme), and it's getting absolutely stellar reviews.

That said, the Provari seems pretty awesome as well. I'm actually getting ready to upgrade and trying to decide between those two myself. Do I want the shiny new thing that has more range (and is getting good reviews on quality and build, so it seems pretty durable) or do I want the proven standard that I know for sure will last forever?

Tough call.

Provari is a fine VV mod, but I think you would like the Reo a bit more given your interest in mechanicals. All the benefits of dripping with no leaks, 6ml capacity at your fingertip, and the longevity of a 18650 battery with the grand. The new contacts give minimal voltage drop and allow the user to sub-ohm if he/she desires.
I came from a LOT of tube mechs with just about every type of rebuildable tank on top, but they have all been sold in lieu of my current setups:

.... And I don't miss the tubes in the least.
