hi there, we just had a vape meet here in las vegas last friday nite, it was my first one and it was pretty cool. we met in a local restaurant, chatted, ate and so on. most of the people brought juices and different pv's, everyone was trying new tastes, box mods, disposable e-cigs etc. i didn't know what to expect so next time i will bring some juice also for others to try, flavors they have not had yet. a couple of the ladies brought boxes full of juices, lol. we also held a raffle, and my name was drawn! must be beginners luck? everyone brought something to put in the raffle prize. we are raising money for something, not sure yet what it is.

all in all it was really cool. it's nice to meet others in your town that vape. most of the folks there are also on this forum, maybe this is where the vape meet originated from.

i'll definitely make it once a month to see everyone. they might have something like that in your area and you don't know about it?

one thing i found out for sure. i don't like most juices! i first started with fsusa for the first couple months, then recently branched out and tried 5 different companies. out of all the crap i bought i liked 1 flavor. at the vape meet i tried soooo many juices and didn't like any of them. a couple were so-so, most i either couldn't taste or flat-out thought of as yucky. it might change as time goes on, but for now i'll stick with what i know and save money in the process.

one more thing, everyone was really friendly. it lasted about 3 hours.

For me, it's about the PVs themselves (and their owner's, lol). It was great to be able to see, hold, and try so many different kinds of PVs that I'd been reading about but never would have had the opportunity to "test" unless purchasing one, first. The one meet I attended was a little while back...but I was able to see/try 510s, Egos, SilverBullet, Omega, Iolite, Phidias, etc...they, in return, got to see/try cartomizers, 808s, and a BB (didn't have my Buzz then :(). Those opportunities were very cool and a great learning experience, as well!

That, and enjoying beverages with other people who are as excited about vaping as I am was so much fun! Being able to talk the lingo, be understood, get real-time answers was a definite plus. I am all alone in my vaping enthusiasm around here and it was nice to be amongst others who "get it" :)

Juices are nice to try but as a carto girl, it made it difficult to do too many. I do hate filling up a carto with something that ends up being meh. Dripping for testing is OK, but, as we all know, it tastes different on a carto. But I was able to trade juices for other juices that I had been wanting to try, anyways, so it was all good in the end.

Our Florida Vapers/Suncoast Vapers meets once a month. Each time someone is "volunteered" for setting up the next location and clearing vaping with management. We eat, chat, try/test drive, swap, give / share. We have raffles. We raise funds for our Vape Fests.... We make new friends, we help new people learn about vaping....in person is easier !!!! Someone always has "The Newest" to "Show and Tell"...(and try). It's a great group of people and we are growing fast !!! Sometimes vendors send juice samples...sometimes they donate items for the raffles. It's just a fun evening out !!!

+1 Classwife! Look forward to seeing you Saturday!

I think what I do most at our local meets is...... LAUGH!!

We have a great time vaping, eating, drinking and of course checking out PV's & juices. I always look forward to the meets as they are a fun time though I admit going to the first one is a little odd...heading out to meet strangers from the internet. My husband thought I had lost my damn mind ;)

I'd love to see local meetups happening everywhere! It is the best way for a new vaper to get questions answered and see new devices. It's also just good, clean fun!

We are having our 2nd Vape Meet in Colorado this saturday, a few of us have been working together to make it a great event. We found a great sports bar that lets us vape and give us our own room to have our meet. We contacted several vendors and got donations of e-cigs, atty's, juice and other vaping supplies and everyone gets a free ticket when they come in and we draw for prizes all night and everyone can win several things. We eat, drink, chat, try all kinds of juices and swap juices. Is a lot of fun, can't wait for Saturday.

Raffles are usually held in order to make donations to CASAA and others such organizations (in the groups name) and to help pay for any charges of the meeting place, I would assume. Of course I know what assume does mean-LOL.
They are perfect places to meet others like you and me and to get to try out/see juices and pv's and if lucky new mods that may be coming round the corner.
Vapestock will have some great vendors/members that will attend. It keeps growing, too. If you want a vaping vacation check out the link in my sig, the one on the left.

Upstate NY vapers have had 3 meets so far. I have only been to 2 of them. We show off/try out different PV models, try out juices and generally chit chat away. We also have several modders and DIY people in the group so tips and tricks, recipes and flavorings are passed around too. It's always a great time..

If you don't have any vape meets in your area, check the forums and see if your area has it's own forums. If they do, post something if you are interested in helping plan one. I have been planning this week-ends event here in Colorado with some other vaping friends and we have had a lot of fun doing it, this is our 2nd meet but first one I have been involved in planning and it is worth the time and effort and you will make some really good friends.
