What do we do with old lithium batteries that don't work anymore ?.

So what is the best thing to do with a worn out battery ?. Throwing lithium in the bin isn't really an option and is irresponsible. So what do we do with them !. Is there a place near you where you can have them recycled ?. I shall be looking into where i can dispose of mine. what about you ?.

Welcome , and alot of Radio Shacks , have a recycle bin for batteries . Or you can probably google , and find somewhere , close-by . Good Luck .

I know there are places around me that recycle old electronics, I assume that would be a good place since they deal with cell phone batteries and such. I currently need to dispose of a car battery...

A scrapyard would take that off your hands. They'd even pay you for the lead in it. Not sure they'd take lithium though.

BestBuy has a battery recycle bin, plus Battery's Plus or similar battery supply store will have them too.

I burn mine JUST KIDDING! Your local recycling center should be able to take them, radio shack as mentioned, and any scrap yard.
