What do you do when your Tank Cartomizer floods?

I am running a 5 ML tank with a single punch 1.7 OHM single coil cartomizer. I filled the tank and primed the cart with Boba's Bounty. A while later I went out to vape and it began to gurgle and spit juice into my mouth.

I blew it out, kept vaping, and the same thing continued to happen. This morning I find the entire tank of juice is gone. I go to vape and it is hard to suck through. I pull off the drip tip immediately after pulling and I can see the juice has risen above the filling. The juice settles down after a few seconds, but if I attempt to pull again the same thing happens.

What do you do when your tank carto floods like this? Do you swap the carto?

Edit:These were pre-punched, one hole.

Hiya and welcome to the forums! This usually happens *from my own experience* when the air pressure within the tank is not balanced, which causes it to force more juice into the tank than needed. What i do is take the rubber thing that came on your carto *we call them condoms* and put it back on the bottom of the carto. Then take a toothpic, or needle or mini screwdriver *eyeglass ones* and slide it between the tank and gasket around the carto, just like when you fill. Let it sit there for some seconds and it allows the air to equalize.

Thanks, Krispers. I have seen several of your posts since I began lurking here.

I have about 8 weeks vaping experience.

I actually Lower the carto into the glass, as if I am filling it, to equalize the air.

haha im everywhere and anywhere. I just mean to help.

I honestly never heard that method being used to equalize......i like my way better :p but everyone has their own ways....But generally the air pressure is what i deal with for flooding.

if its draining that much....I really say air pressure. I've had bad cartos, might give me a drop every few hours leaking, not much but yeah. There really is not way to tell if the cart is bad but attempting to relieve the pressure would tell you. if it stops leaking, its the air, if it continues...it may be the carto.

if it is the carto thats causing the leak you can still use it without the tank by simply taking that 'condom' i spoke of, cut off the bottom and slide it on the carto to cover the hole, and you can use it like a normal carto. One thing you can do, is take off the drip tip, how 'sloshy' is it on top of the wick material? if its soaking wet, then im almost sure its the air pressure, if its not, then its basically just coming into the carto and running out.

Well, last night it was sloshy when this was happening. I kept blowing it out, and it would come right back.

Today it is not sloshy, but there is no juice in the tank, and if I take a drag there is a lot of resistance......and after the drag I pull the drip tip and find it sloshy but the juice settles in a few seconds. I ran a paper clip through the center thinking it was clogged....but same thing....major resistance and sloshy at the top of the fiber.

Man......vaping sure is hit and miss. I wish every vape could be like my first experience.
