The Evod is a great little clearomizer and I've noticed at most vape events I have gone to they are definitely one of the most popular. So here is your chance to ring in on why it is one of your favorites and maybe educate some of those that have not used one yet. Here is also a very informative Evod article that may be of use to those of you who haven't tried them yet, or to help remind us that do use them why we love them so much. Is the Evod right for you and why?

Honestly, I've had nothing but trouble from my EVOD. :( From burned taste to no taste at all it's acted up at every turn. I'm hoping that it's just the one I got. I thought that I had a serious case of vaper's tongue going on, but I went back to my el cheapo clearo that came with my kit and I was fine. Now it's gurgling and I KNOW I didn't get juice down the air hole. It also leaked juice all over the place, not sure how the heck that happened.

To the poster who has had nothing but trouble with the EVOD, I can tell you this.

1 - I have tried cartos, protank, iclear16,30,etc. and EVOD is the best one with flavor and smoke.

2 - In the beginning I had a problem like yours, burnt taste, gurgling, and leak. I figured out finally that it was the COIL that came with it. Keep in mind, some vendors don't advertise what the coil that comes with it (1.8ohms, 2.2ohms, etc. ) Some do advertise but you might get the wrong one or a bad one. What I have done is purchased from cravenvapes replacement coils. I don't even use the ones that come with it. I use the ones I purchased and they work great. I stick to 1.8 ohms at 3.7v and works great.

I've never had any problems either with leaking, burnt flavor, etc. As New2vapes said it comes with fairly low resistance coils so they are best suited for 3.7v which makes sense as they are designed for eGo. I wouldn't go over 4.4v myself, but that is just me. If too hot it will taste burnt and once it does that coil is useless. The burnt taste could also be happening because the wick did not get fully saturated prior to vaping. Even with bottom coils it is still necessary to wait about 5 minutes. I personally put a drop on either side where the wick sticks out before screwing the base back on. Gurgling is a sign of flooding and not always caused by juice getting in the air hole which is nearly impossible considering it is part of the base and therefore isn't even on the Evod when filling. Flooding typically happens when people start removing some of the wicks allowing too much liquid to enter the coil chamber.

Also be careful as there are a lot of Evod copies surfacing that are inferior in quality compared to the original Kanger made Evods. I would recommend as New2vapes recommended and order some replacement coil heads for it, follow the instructions in that article and give it another try. The Evod really is a great "plug and play" clearo that should not be having those problems when sufficiently primed and vaped at a voltage that corresponds with the proper resistance level.

I hope you try again jam*her*some and get much better results this time around. Good luck!

My favorite thing about the eVod... no leaking! At least so far.. I had t3 and it dribbled like mad once I'd get to 1.8ml or so...was a pain in the ..... I've put a lot of juice through, even ran it pretty much dry, without so much as a drop on my battery.

I'd like to know why the t3, which is really similar, leaks where the eVod doesn't... it's all in the coil design I guess, so why doesn't Kanger redesign the t3 head? Do the new t3s heads leak as much as the t3?

Funny you should ask! I just finished an article on the new TS3 and yes, they redesigned the coil head. It is now removable from the base like ProTank and Evod. The article should be published in another day or so on the digital cig.
