I just got two in today and so far I'm really liking them. Plus they look sharp as a smaller setup for taking out.

Secondly, I noticed the coil head on one of the EVOD's was only screwed into the base half way. I only noticed this when I felt a rattle while unsrewing the base from the EVOD. Glad I noticed this before I filled it up with juice or it might have leaked. The second EVOD had the coil head screwed on all the way. This is something you may want to check before filling for the first time.

yep, that happened to me. i didnt notice at first and over tightened my tank to the base to get it flush. then i had to try to take it off with pliers and a towel. and... it crapped out on me. i must have squished the base that goes on the ego because i get zero airflow now. :( i have more on order if ivape.net would get off their .... and get it here. :(

yeah im calling them out 2nd time priority was slower than 1st class.

Just got one, I love it!
That FLAVOR!!!

One question though, how to get to the coil? On the coil assembly it looks like that grooved post has a seam, meaning it can be removed to expose the coil? I want to slip a wick in there, how to get it off?
Thanks.

Yep! Raise or remove the little silicone cap at the base of that grooved post, then pull the post up and you'll see the two flavor wicks. Pull those off (gently if you want to reuse them) and you'll see the coil.

Since my last post I've bought 5 more of these. I absolutely love them. I had become so accustomed to the T3 letting me know when it was getting low *gurgle*gurgle*gurgle*.... the EVOD is so quiet, it happily let me vape every single drop out of it, until I got a burnt taste and realized it was bone dry!

These things rock! My hornet rba is collecting dust.

Id be interested in trying to use hemp wick on one. Anyone rebuilt one without just replacing the head?

Yes. They are 10x easier to rebuild than the T3 and even a little easier than the vivi nova due to the additional room to work. I have only used cotton and it works great.

I'm kinda testing the waters here as far as clearos go. All replies seem to be optimistic here, so I might try one. It's been recommended to me to use a LR coil because I use eGo non-adjustable 3.3V batteries, so do all of these come as 2.5 ohm originally. I'm also finding it hard to find anyone that has the 1.8 ohm replacement coils. What's the minimum PG recommended in one of these? I typically mix 75/25 but have started mixing 60/40 Pg/VG. Are both of those thick enough to prevent leaks and any of the other problems?

I ordered my second batch from smoke-evolution.com, those came standard with a 1.8ohm head. The website says they are out of stock but expect another shipment in tomorrow. They work well on my standard 3.3V batteries.

As far as minumum PG, I don't know for sure as most of the juice I've run through them is around 70/30. I think you'll be fine at 60/40, or even thicker, as they have the same wicking principle as the T3 (which runs high VG juices quite well, IMO).

I've run as thin as 80/20 in two different evods, and as thick as 35/65 in several with no problems.

Good find. I've been shopping the heck out of these since they came on the scene, trying to find certain colors at best prices. All a I saw anywhere were the 2.5ohm. ivapes was one of the few that had replacement coils, and they had both 1.8 and 2.5 in coils but not the whole evod.
