What do you prefer? Regulated or unregulated devices?

Well the way I see it, there's not much you can do with a regulated mod, that you can't do with an unregulated mod; you just need the right accessory. There are accessories that will allow you vv (I don't know about vw, but I've never really seen the draw to it anyway). There are fuses you can buy for short protection.

I like how they're simple, and pretty indestructible. If I have a major juice leak, I might need a new battery, or I might fry a fuse or something (they're not expensive), but the device itself is just a bunch of metal, and a couple of gaskets. There's nothing to fry; there's nothing to break unless you run it over with your car. I love that.

Regulated by far.

The biggest turn-off to me using the cig-alikes when I first started out was that the first couple of hits from a fully charged battery were great but got worse and worse as the day wore on.....As the battery got worse so did my cravings for nicotine.

That's the cool thing about rebuildables on 18650 mechs, so long as you don't super sub-ohm, say 0.4 and below, and are running quality batteries, Sony VCT series for example, it's just not that noticeable.

I was on an unregulated kick for a while but settled back into regulated and haven't touched the others in months. Keeps it simple stupid for me. 6-8 watts depending on the tank and 10-12 watts depending on the dripper. I don't get hung up on ohms anymore when I wrap. If it fires evenly it vapes great no matter what ohm.

My regulated equipment is there to hold me over when the times come where I have exhausted every battery I own prior to having access to a place to charge them. Day long trips to the park for example. I could build a high ohm rig, but it just isn't the same.

You have regulated equipment that works without batteries?

I've only been at this since April 21st. In that time I've tried 6 different tanks before settling on a Kayfun lite +v2 authentic and an EHPro clone of the same. Coil building is easy and the flavor is much better than anything else I've tried.

I've been tempted by the mechanical mods, but ultimately passed. I'd rather not kill my batteries due to not paying attention.

I bought a provari to start with. Quitting real cigs was tough and I wanted something reliable.

Started on a Provari... ended on a mech. Unregulated all day everyday.

I find it strange that people use regulated while out and about and a mech at home... I found that ... all things being equal... any given battery lasted longer on a mech than the Provari. I switched to mechs on that basis alone... then, of course, discovered sub-ohm and never looked back. Once DNAs reach 50 or so, i will give it another look for sure!
