What do you say to people who see you vaping in public?

On a side note,I am always approached by people who do vape to see what item I am using,what juice, tank etc.I have only been insulted once,that was by a person in the VA hospital.I wasn't vaping there but was asked if I do smoke,I answered no,quit 3 years ago.

She said great and how did I quit.I said proudly, with an ecig in two days after over 45 years of 3+PAD of kools.she said,and I quote,"well ,you haven't quit smoking then" and logged that into my jacket (file).I told her to believe what she wants but remove that entry from my file.She stigmatized me and wanted that in my record.I called the head doc over,which I didn't realise vaped also and had the nurse remove it.

I have seen a few stories about that lately......people that work in DR's offices marking vaping down as smoking or light smoking......there has to be a way to classify it on it's own that everyone can agree on.........I am glad it worked out for you............

The only stares I get are from the local cops
As @Uncle would say, they obviously like to watch ...
...So I make sure to blow a giant cloud just for them as I go by
...and if I could do cloud-writing....it might say something like this ...

Hey @liblue1 - good question! I don't recall feeling like I've been getting stares recently, but if I felt like I was getting that judgmental stare from somebody I would probably say: "What? You're not my dad!" (or mom if it is a lady). Yep...that would do just fine. Thanks for including me in your thread!

Ppl don't stare at me. I pretty much read easy. This guy will fight. But I always blow there kinda with kindness.. But I'll talk to anyone about Vaping. Especially smokers. I even carry a mod in my truck or in my saddlebags just for them so I can let them try it for them selves if theyd like. I'll walk up in a crowd of smokers quick and break my .... out and be like you guys need to try this.

It works. I've had a couple ppl leave rite then headed to the vape shop. I've been keeping a tobbaco flavor in it. Then I'll explain the difference in cost. And not to mention how much better I feel. I've got all the younger guys in the club Vaping now. A few of the older guys but there stuck in there ways

Oh, man. Good for you for standing up to that. I had a doctor tell me the same thing recently. No, I don't still smoke. As a matter of fact, I can't stand to put a cigarette anywhere near me. I hate even touching them.

Congrats on quitting and making it so far! Our founder, @SMILIN was smoking FIVE packs of Kools a day before he quit. You guys are really an inspiration!

Umm, I don't think there are any. You cannot buy products containing nicotine here, other than tobacco products or recognised quit smoking products, so although there are some online sellers of the hardware, you have to import the liquids and that's where the law gets interesting.

Although I've gradually met more who have heard of or have e-cigs, most people have no idea. As such, no-one has thought to ban them. Mind you, I don't get around much anymore either...

Hold the vapour in a long time before exhaling, next to no visible vapour comes out. For some reason, blowing the vapour out in a stream over my lower lip down towards my chest also works quite well.

That's what I do.....if I hold it in long enough there isn't much to be seen.....I am guilty a few years ago I vaped in a Wallyworld aisle..right there in sporting goods..........there was nobody around.....and blew it into my sleeve......

I just go on about my day. And if I feel someone is starring or possibly got tht look on their face of what is he doing I just think of the song
maybe not big black clouds but in my mind large clouds like a train. I have seen worse in public than someone blowing a cloud.

Also I am diabetic and have gotten use to stares especially when I have to inject my insulin. I know for a long time people would see me pull out a syringe and probly was thinking what is he doing. I just do what I gotta do and go about my way.

Oh that would be something......especially around here with the needle/drug use running so rampant......
