As you can see, you're going to get a lot of different perspectives on this Kasmel. I have a couple of minor regrets, but they only set me back about $150 or so and I chalk them up to gained experience.

IMO if you like regulated mods that go up to 14 watts or so the Provari is the most reliable and the best bang for your buck. If you later decide you made the wrong choice you can very quickly sell it for around 80% of what you paid for it.

If you want to go mechanical mod there are some pretty good clones in the $25 - $50 range, but you have to do your home work to figure which they are or you can get some real junk. And sometimes even the good ones need minor modifications before they shine.

Some of the high end mechanical mods can be finicky.

I don't know the high power regulated mods well enough to know which are good, but I get the feeling most are not as dependable as the good mechanical mods yet and some can be expensive. OTOH, they offer very good performance and safety for higher power vaping.

If you like bottom feeder mechanicals, the Reo is IMO the most reliable and the best bang for your buck. If you later decide you made the wrong choice you can very quickly sell it for around 80% of what you paid for it.

Take your time exploring this stuff. Everything in vaping has little quirks and tricks you need to learn to get the most out of it.

Hello all! Great thread!
Blu e-cigs... the disposable-type -- I have to say were the one thing I'm sorry I purchased. Wasted a lot of money there. The Jet e-cigs, which was more of an enjoyable experience because I could find refills cheaper at times, and they had more of a satisfying vape. Then battery life and cartridge life became issues when I was totally off analogs. By the way..found a clone flavor IMO for the Mojito Mint found in Jet in a fairly popular e-juice when I ordered and tried Five Pawns' Fifth Rank.

Oh yes.
I wish I had the wisdom to stick with what I know I like instead of trying to constantly “upgrade”. I can’t find a tank that tastes better then a vision single coil stardust V3 or an iclear16 DC. Believe me when I tell you I have tried. If its a tank that gets discussed here - I tried it and it ain't as good.
I did get an Itaste MVP 2.0 to run at home - I didn't fix the flavor on my expensive tanks but it will same my ego batteries for on the road.
Great thread.

Wow.

Saying that a clearo tastes batter than a dripper or genny is strong business.

I wish I had never tried the Totally Wicked Bacon Flavored e-liquid. It totally ruined an atomizer for me - had to throw it out.

I wish I had bought a quality vv device to begin with, not an overpriced ego-T kit from totally wicked. I mean sure it looked cool, but the performance was kinda lacking.

I started with the Tornado kit too....but that was in like 2009ish. It looks like they haven't really changed anything since then. It really wasn't worth it, tbh. I never liked it...which is part of the reason it's taken me so long to come back. Again.

much said about the hardware... so much money wasted in trying to emulate smoking rather than really getting into vaping... unfortunately for me, much of the great stuff of today wasn't available back in 2011 when I started..

Biggest money waster and biggest disappointments for me came in the form of juice purchases...

I didn't have B&M's back in 2011 and I really didn't have any until this last year in my area. My advice is go to them... all of them... and take advantage of their ability to let you sample their different lines of juice.

1st, figure out your flavor profile... Is it fruit? Tobacco? Desserts?... you will pretty much figure out what you like and don't like that way. Once that's settled, get something from them that you like (yes, it's ok to pay a little more to start... we all need to support the B&M's in some way... and they really just saved you a TON of money by letting you try before you buy)...

Once you know which direction to go, come back to ECF and start researching what others like in juice that fits your flavor profile. Also, if you find a vendor you like, jump on their forum here or join their facebook group page. You'll be surprised how many other really good juices you will find.
