Does it affect taste? Lately the taste of my new juice has disappeared. The vapor is still there but the taste is like stale.

An old atty can affect the taste if many different kinds of juice have been used with it. What usually happens is all that juice sort of collects in the wick and leads to clogged atomizers or stale tastes. I would recommend boiling it, or soaking it overnight, or just blowing it out really well and see if that helps.
I would like to add that if cleaning the atty does not improve the flavor, then try a new atty. If that does not work, try vaping a different flavor for a few days. There have been cases where the prolonged use of one type of liquid has caused a loss of flavor.

Oh very good point. It's like how you don't taste/smell cigarette's after a while.
