Sorry, this is probably a really really stupid question. Hopefully one of you electrical savy folks can help.

I'm not an e cigarette noob or anything like that but I guess I really never thought about this before. What does the negative post, say on an rda do? If current flows from the positive to the negative what happens after that? Why do coils glow evenly when only the positive lead is getting the current?

Is the negative post just sitting on the deck of an rda? Or is their some sort of connection that is built under the deck?

Thanks for answering this for me :)

Ever touch a 9v battery to your tongue? Works kinda like that. The current is drawn from + to -. If the negative were not connected, the circuit would be open. An open circuit produces nothing. The switch closes the circuit and the current is drawn across the working resistance of the coil. The heat produced by the coi is the expected result of the circuit.

I hope this helps.

Think of it like a flashlight - not the LED type but the older ones with the regular bulbs the went out when you really needed it.

You got a + and - and the D cell batteries just like the ones in your mod and the filament in the bulb equates to the coil. Does the same thing on a different scale and without a wick/juice.
