I have some new T2's and I was reading that the top coil needs to be broken in. what does this mean? how do I do it? I just started using them and they seemed fine. just filled them up and started vaping..but maybe I did something wrong?
Lots of peeps just let them break themselves in, and there isn't anything wrong with that.
Several things happen with a new coil. When the wire is made it is exposed to a machine oil, this can change the taste until it dissipates. The coil will also change in resistance slightly. The coil and wick then also become coated with partially caramelized juice. All of these things do effect their performance.
Yep they also form a protective layer of oxide on the surface of the heating wire. I guess this might contribute to the slight resistance changes you get as they break in (I find the resistance normally goes up a bit once broken in) but don't know that is the case.
in a nut shell the flavor, vapor production, and throat hit get better. some coils depending if it is nichrome or kanthal this is 3-6ml of juice. My vivi's take about a tank and a half to fully reach thier potential and perform amazing!

it depends on which version you have. My first vivi was horrible! they had a problem with the legs getting hot before the coil which muted all the flavor and tasted horrible, the newer version solved that problem. Now I get CLOUDS of vapor, flavor and throat hit. Check out the Vivi Nova Modders thread and they have a ton of tips and tricks to making this platform sooo much better.
