Hey all, I'm still pretty new to vaping and been doing it for about 2 weeks now. I keep hearing people say their tank floods/ed? What exactly does that mean? I don't know if it's ever happened to me cause I don't know the definition. Any help would be great. I still don't know all the vape terms and lingo. TYIA guys!

Hi Bloodytears,

Welcome to ECF.

My understanding of flooding is when there is either too little wick to keep the juice from leaking into the center tube (like when someone removes a flavor wick), or the juice itself is too thin and exceeds the wicking causing the "flooding". There can also be other causes, such as letting certain tanks get too low on juice, which affects the "vacuum" that maintains equilibrium in the tank.

I am certain there are more causes that I have not listed, but I think these are the big 3. Essentially, I think the answer to your question is really to say that juice somehow "leaks" into the tube.

This happened to me the other day..

I had switched my tank from one battery to another and when I went to switch them back I noticed a puddle on the connection of my battery. I tired one fix that a friend suggested and that seemed to work for about 15 mins... Then it started leaking again.
In the end I had to replace the carto in my tank and all is good now :)
