A trick with an e-power cone:
Unlike the eGo cone the e-power cone is large enough that an o-ring will fit nicely inside it. Which makes the e-power cone a fully functional drip shield.

Okay this is weird: I took off the carto and tried the cone again and it fit fine. I took the cone off, but on a different carto and the cone did just fine. I then went back and put on the previous carto and it wouldn't fit again. Note that these are both 1.7s from the same box. I'm guessing the threads on that one carto is slightly off; which makes it lean slightly, which throws off the cone threads. Sound reasonable?

Slightly tilt the carto and it should fit on again.

I think that the cone can also adjust the airflow, depending on the carto used, as the air now has to pull from the top of the cone. I don't think it's a massive difference, however.
