When i mean advanced i mean im not new to it all, i have been vaping now since around September last year so quite a while. I have had the super mini, i currently have the realis and i also have DSE901-T as well. I was thinking about an ego, there quite good are they not? i am only really knowledgeable on the smaller devices. Not looking for a mod yet, still want something relatively compact so thats why i thought of the ego.

Probably advanced is not the word lol... but im not a newbie

I've have an ego and I really like it. Decent battery life and being 510 threaded you have plenty of options available to you. That said I just got a provari and I really don't see myself going back to the ego or anything else (at least for now). If you feel you aren't ready for a mod by all means get an ego they're great. However I would highly recommend a vv mod of some sort. I've read great things about vv's but until I tried one I really didn't understand how great they really are.

The eGo works for a lot of people. It has a problem with low resistance. 2.0 ohms or higher is fine. 1.7 is marginal, and 1.5 will killit for sure. But the batteries are cheap (900mah size is probably more reliable than the others sizes) and about any 510 style atty/carto/tank will work.

and it ain't a stack battery mod.

Well...here's the deal. If you get an eGo-T, you're dealing with a completely different system. The tanks are -similar- to an atty/cartridge, except without the filler in the cart. The tank attys are pretty solid, mine lasted for a couple months, my father in-law is just starting to burn his out, and he got his kit last July. I think he's killed 2 of them so far.

The batteries are pretty solid, they're also small, you'll feel like you're holding a swisher-sweet with a button on it. If you're going to get an eGo, make sure you get a Joye eGo, not any of the knockoffs.

AltSmoke sells them. AltSmoke.com | Personal Vaporizers | Electronic Cigarette | Ecigs | eGo-T - Starter Kit - eGo-T - Starter Kits

They also carry the new eGo-C, which I'm not really familiar with. It looks like an eGo-T with rebuildable attys, but I'm not sure on that. AltSmoke.com | Personal Vaporizers | Electronic Cigarette | Ecigs | eGo-C Starter Kit - Joye

Either way, best of luck!

I have an Ego myself and I've tried it with the regular atomizer/cartridge with filling, Tank/Carto and regular cartos. I just got an Ego-T for my mom and I've been borrowing the atomizer/cartridge from that and I like it sooooo much better than the standard 501ish atomizer/cartridge on my Ego. The Ego-T setup is a lot easier to manage, fill, use.

I would def get a 3.7V PV over a 3.3-3.4V eGo. The 3.7V PVs provide alittle more "oomph" and more importantly handle the lower resistance attys and cartos better.
I would check out the kGo, E-Power, and newer Rivas. They are all 3.7V PVs and have 510 threading.
Personally I like the E-Power and kGo the most.
I have an E-Power and love it. The main difference is that the E-Power uses non-proprietary batteries, which are removable. E-Power batteries cost $4-6 compared to eGo/kGo/Riva batteries that are $14-20. The batteries are 1050mah and I get on avg a day to a day and a half on one battery. Also everything is replaceable on the E-Power so its cheaper to maintain, and its very is to carry a spare battery and if needed unscrew the switch and pop in a fresh one.
The kGo is also a nice PV even though it uses proprietary batteries. The batteries are 1100mah so they last a long time too and give a great vape. Most kGo users get at least a full day on one battery.
I would def consider getting a kGo, E-Power, or Riva over the eGo. Their similar in size and price, but are 3.7V instead.
You could also use 1.5ohm and 1.7ohm cartos and not have to worry about it frying your battery, like you have to with an eGo

If you do get an eGo, I would def get a regular one and use cartos instead of getting an eGo-T. The tanks can be very finicky and leak a lot. They also dull flavor and TH, even when their working correctly. If you want to use a tank, your much better off getting a carto tank. They give a lot better vape than the eGo tanks, and are a lot more consistant too.

The Smoktech 3.5ml tank is perfect for eGo/kGo/E-Power sized PVs. Smoktech does make a bigger 6ml tank, but personally I think they look funny, and they make the PV really top-heavy. The 3.5ml tank is perfect size and doesnt make the PV top-heavy. The Smoktech tanks are dual coil tanks, but that doesnt mean you have to use dual coil cartos in it. Personally I think dual coil cartos suck on lower voltage PVs, and they only really shine when used in the 4-5V range. The Smoktech tanks are really cheap and you can get a 3.5ml tank for about $10, and it comes with a pre-punched DC carto in it and a drip tip, which makes it an even better deal. Like I said before, I think dual coil cartos suck at lower voltages so I didnt even use the carto that comes with the tank. Instead I use the Ressurector cartos in the tank and they work a LOT better than any dual coil does. They are single coil, but are the same size as a dual coil carto so they fit perfectly in the Smoktech dual coil tanks.
Crystal Clear Vaping sells the Smoktech tanks, and they also sell pre-punched Ressurector cartos for the tanks, and they have the metal base on them like the DC carto that comes with the tank. You dont necessarily have to use a carto with the metal base, but they are nice bc they stop the tank from being able to slide down.
This is what the Smoktech 3.5ml tank with a Ressurector in it looks like on my E-Power: photo3.jpg
The tank is big enough that I can fill it in the morning and easily be good all day, yet its still small enough that I can easily carry it in my pocket.
I think the Smoktech 3.5ml tank with the Ressurector cartos is a perfect tank set-up for the E-Power, kGo, Riva, and even eGo (even though the Ressurectors dont run at full potential on an eGo), and is def better than using the eGo-T tanks
