Okay, I have only been vaping since Feb, and no analogs since my first day....That is great "for me"....but, only for me...Bought an Ego and never looked back....In the past two months since then, I, like a lot of other people been reading these posts and checking out all the other good "stuff" concerning vaping...
I tried everything from different types of poly,,,,,,to tea bags....the blue folm for fish,,,,and finally the little "straw in the cart" to allow more juice in the cart....All good suggestions...but they don't work unless you put the extra effort to make them work...
I never put any effort to "smoke" a analog.......So, you are saying that I need to put forth this effort to have a vape? Wronge assumption... You will not get many converts if you promote this train of thought.
This does not include all the different ways to "clean an atty",,,,which I have found to be completely subjective....
In another week I will have 6 months of vaping without one analog...and I know for me what works.. I have never did anything different then clean out the atty with hot water,,,,blow it out,,,,,and let dry for a day or two...Then add a couple of drops of juice and enjoy....
Make sure you have extra attys,,,,extra batteries,,,,and of course the juice you like....Without these three,,,you will not continue on this great road of vaping.....
Again, I love everyone here that helped me out...but please,,,let not over-do it...KISS...Love You...and Enjoy the Adventure...

Good post, for those not pursuing the perfect vape.
:)

I have been satisified with what I have for a long time now.
But I still check out what's new, to see if it can improve my experience.

But if you get something simple, and it works, it's up to you to decide if you're all set.

Paul,

I agree, KISS is great and is good advise.
Some obsessive types (like me) turn this into a hobby.
Growing up, I had many obsessive hobbies, HO trains, Slot cars, Sports cars, woodworking and lately, Tommy Bahama Hawaiian shirts (don't ask;)).
Now, I am fighting the obsessive nature of this hobby.
I am happy (really, I am) with my present 3 PV's of choice, but I do find myself going a little nuts over spare Attys and Juice.

I was a 3 PAD person, so KISS does not come easy to me, but I am trying!

KISS? They're still around. Good performers, ok musicians. They throw one helluva party! ^_^
Right now they're probably rocking and rolling all night.

I don't do anything simple, I like stretching the last few seconds of life from every piece of equipment I have because I don't have much money to spend on anything. Bought 5 atties a few months ago, 4 of em are still alive and kickin. DIY juice...starting to get pretty decent at making it. Rather put the effort in than smoke, saves a ton of money.

Heck, I'm still using the first 2 attys I bought mid-April. And for simplicity, I think you can't beat a drip tip. No figuring out what filler works best for your liquids. I was using mostly aquarium filter media (AFM), and it was great with some juices, and lousy with others. PTB and AFM would both leak. I'll keep carts around for long road trips, but otherwise dripping just works, all the time. Hard to think of it being simpler than that.

Of course, what works for me might not work for others, but I generally agree that keeping things simple is most likely to result in more people joining the vape crowd.

I rarely clean my attys, but sometimes one will start getting a bit weak in the production department, and I soak it in PGA for a bit and blow it out. Seems to do the trick. I remain puzzled by the "clean your atty" threads. One thing I'm finding interesting is that if I use the same juice in an atty for several days, it seems to somehow "condition" the atty to that flavor. The same juice will taste a bit different in a freshly rinsed atty, even after the PGA is gone.

Hey, I agree with KISS (the concept not necessarily the abbreviation  ). For me though, the involvement and intricacy is a part of what keeps me preoccupied.

For my friends and family that still smoke, I'm almost a reason to shy away. Even if I try and simplify it for them, I can't help myself but to give the "howevers". This is one reason I'd like to just have a few cheap usable kits I could just give away and a good link to a pros and cons page of information so they can decide where to go from there.

Anyway, I agree it would be nice if there was a down and dirty, quick and easy, "catch-all" to get people going and keep them there, but unfortunately I think that the period we're in requires some research and effort on the part of the person that wants to make a change.

dat's my :2c:

I thoroughly agree with you! When I intro others to vaping I practice the KISS philosophy as well! I also don't buy a bunch of gadgets......I'm tempted, but I don't. I have a friend that lets me try/see his gadgets first and then I make a decision. I do want one of those passthroughs from Madvapes.....sit and go, but they are out of them right now!
I love you all....and love this forum...KISS...Keep It .... Simple....Of course other might not agree...Take care and lets see I get a "bad" hit for ........Should be interesting...
Enjoy the Adventure...PaulCincy...
