I've using 32 for a while and today I ordered some 30 cause after some research it seems like the better option. Just wanted to see what everyone else is using.

A few months back I bought a 100 foot spool of 32 for 8 bucks...think I will be using that for a while...
28, 30, and 32 depending on atty. Sometimes twisted also if I need to go below 28.

Im guessing ebay which is where i ordered mine from as well at that price.
it depends on so much, all will work really well, but to me whenever possible thicker is better.
28ga twisted, 6 wraps right now on a Wombat (AGA-T2), pulling about 0.8 ohms right now, i'm lovin it
edit: for those asking about the kanthal on ebay, the spools are from Temco, 8 bucks for the 100ft, ~2 dollars for shipping. they have 28, 30, and 32 if I remember correctly

wow, 28 twisted, how close are the wraps? that must take alittle time to get right, no? i have heard of twisted 32 and 30 but not 28.
For me, the gauge used is dictated by the resistance that I'm shooting for. I typically try to wrap as few coils as possible because I find that a 3/2 wrap is more responsive than a 5/4. On my mechs, I generally do a 3/2 of 30g to get 1.0 ohm. On my VVs, I'll go for a 4/3 of 32g to get closer to 2.0 ohms.
