Got a question, when you make your own coil how are you adjusting the resistance of the coil. Does more wraps give you more resistance or do you adjust the resistance by the gauge of the wire. Seems like what I have seen is everyone using 32 gauge Kanthal and seen some videos of it being like 1.8 ohm after they make thier coil. What if you wanted to do a 2.8 ohm coil though.
Thanks

Kanthal and Nichrome wire have specific resistance according to gauge and length. I don't know the exact specs ATM, but there's a chart somewhere that Google can give.

When you find the resistance per foot of whatever wire you purchase, divide that by 12 and measure your length according to the resistance you wish to acheive. It is best to use a multimeter to chack ACTUAL resistance, rather than trust the spec.
