what happened to "Whats New?"

Whats New tab used to have the new posts, vedor posts, updates to threads I've posted in, & classy posts.
Now it just directs me to an activity stream? This changes the whole way I use the forum?
Is this a problem or was this a deliberate change? I usually spend my time on ecf checking my posts.. now what?

Now I see that there is a little bar underneath that contains a "my posts" link.
Butttt... when viewing an individual thread, the my posts link is gone.
I used to be on another forum that used this n hated it.
Now I'll have to go back to a page that enables the mypost menu item?
