I got a cheap guitar cord/interface last year that really didn't work well and I gave up on it after a little fiddling on garage band. I'm hoping this one will get me playing a little again.

yeah - the signal to noise ratio on most of the smaller interfaces is just bad and they tend to get overly hissy quick.i've actually been futzing around with an old sansamp classic run into a little tube preamp i built running straight into logic and getting pretty good results just using logic's cabinet and room simulators(a lot of the same ones that are in garageband).
The guys i'm playing with right now are so busy that we've been discussing practicing with everything direct and the drums mic'ed up so that i can just reach over and hit record and have starter tracks for a real recording with just some guitar and bass overdubs through real amps.if we can get the headphone setup loud enough, i think it will work out great.
all that to say, i think the amp sims in garageband and logic etc.. are great if you can get a good clean, non noisy signal in the box to them.getting it through all the conversions without adding hiss does seem to be the sticking point though.

Oh, I don't have a mac. My daughter has one for school but I can't really use it. My wife has been thinking that the next time we get a computer that she wants a mac. Maybe it's a good idea after all.

after using this one for a while, i really dig it. it stays out of the way more than a windows machine - i think i've rebooted it twice? i can say, just go ahead and max out the ram when you get it. other than that, they're great.
speaking of, i also loaded a copy of elementary linux on the wife's old desktop (dual core 2.4 or so) and it is scary close to osx.

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water, the istick mini is coming out soon.

i see origin vape has a place holder up for it -1060 mah? must be an 18350 in there. if they would just fix the stupid voltage thing....

oh - i got the erlkonigin built this morning. so far it kicks the kayfuns .... in every department other than the filling situation - it needs a needle to be filled from the top without disassembly where the kfl can be filled from top or bottom with a regular bottle.if it keeps going like it is, i forsee several of them in my near future.

built a 1.5 ohm coil with 28 gauge and just a little baby piece of cotton, removed the airflow control and retainer ring and it is kicking .... with some tobacco road.

Gutter, am curious about your take on the Erl. Looks interesting. Am actually feeling content with my present set-ups and toppers. If I were to get a new topper, I would probably go with a K4 but am not in a hurry.

My present gang of Kayfuns for out and about and Reos for the homestead and I'm a happy, Aroma camper. (Almost can't believe I'm saying that but it's been true for a few months now......OH YEAH, there's that new mod that Santa's bringing me for Xmas from Super T though)

How funny is that! I was asking you about the Erl when you were typing.....

Sounds like the Erl might be the answer to your high VG? If so, COOL!

great minds think alike and all that :)

so far, it's working like a champ. i have actually been having some issues with the kayfuns lately - one of my lites and the 3.1 were both just burning the crap out of everything - i think it's just a matter of too much air/not enough suction and manufacturing tolerances on the clones.dunno but i was getting tired of it. for some reason, the black lite i have works like a champ still ?

at any rate - the erl is noticeably lighter, holds more juice, has better airflow, better flavor and thus far has been fairly easy to setup.it may start draining juice from every orifice at any moment though,so i'm trying to reserve judgement until i get some time on it.At least initially, it's a winner for thicker liquids.
