what have i done?

it dropped from 4 feet in the air onto a tile floor of a 7-eleven.

the button is pressed down and i can't get it to pop up. this is a pass through battery that is relatively young and im willing to do whatever it takes to fix it.

(sorry this picture is terrible. the device that is silver is the good battery. it is there for comparison. the button is stuck down on the black battery)

help me, ecf.

You can try and pry it up gently while wiggling it with a pair of needlenose pliers, but it might just be no good.

the battery still works if i dig my fingernail into the button. lol im going to just use it this way i guess...

My pass through did that but it was different
Look at the side of the button and see if it has a gouge or something that is catching and not letting it return.Maybe even a piece of dirt or grit got into it..

I did get it to work. It seems as if the button is connected to a weak peice of plastic, and if u just yank at it violently, it will return to normal(even though it feels like youre breaking it). it works fine and its bene the only battery ive used all day for about a week.
