I had this problem when i ran over my eGo T with a piece of heavy equipment. I took the top off because I didn't think I could lose anyway and found that the PC board had fallen out of its slot. Hard repair with a 1" wire connecting it to the battery, but once I put it where it belongs, my troubles were fixed. Still use that battery. There is a site that sells replacement boards with buttons and wire but I can't for the life of me find it right now.

EDIT: Found it! http://www.shop.goodprophets.com/product.sc?productId=236

This happens to me on one particular twist all the time. Roby if you hold the twist horizontal and with the button pointing down to the floor it's easier to get things lined up again. pull apart till it's just away from the battery, then push it back in. Every thing aligns itself without any additional fiddling.
absolutely....same thing I do...seems I have to do it 1 to 2 times a week....and to think all it took for the initial time was it falling onto my carpet from 3 feet up.

a similar thing happened to one of mine, I have had nothing but bad luck w/ these (while the ones my gf has work perfectly, like a tank, she couldnt damage them if she tried :\ )

I have even taken my broken ones apart, but I didnt have any working circuit boards to replace them w/, but the good news is that theyre relatively cheap and can get a 1000mah twist for ~$30, but for me, having nonstop problems w/ them has annoyed me enough to order myself a provari mini :D.

I have been vaping for 10 days with great success. I have two 650 ego's that I've dropped a few times with NO problems. I've been thinking of buying a twist but after reading this thread I'm wondering if the "stuck button" on the twist is a problem I should be concerned about. Anyone ?... Thank you.

Oh...while I've got you here...are there ANY issues with the Twist as compared to the basic ego that I should know about ? ty.

Most of the button problems have been resolved by opening it up and realigning the parts. Some severe accidents may have caused irreparable damage but if it was that severe it would have damaged most any other PV, anyway.

The biggest complaints with the Twist are 1) no battery gauge and 2) numbers hard to see in fluorescent lighting. Natural lighting is not quite so bad, but really, Twist it all the way until it stops (either 3.2 or 4.8) and turn 1/3 of a turn back and you have 4.0 volts. It's easy to fine tune from there.

Since I have been using the Vivi Nova and Mini Nova I have noticed that the tank cone that I use helps protect the Nova and the Twist from damage when it gets knocked over. I prefer to use the large flared cone even with the Mini because it keeps the Twist from slipping through my fingers.

Enjoy!

+1 on that cone. At first I was screwing the cone all the way onto the twist but after thinking about it decided to screw the tank on just enough to feel resistance (therefore making good contact with the +center post) then bring the cone up to meet it. This creates a rock solid lock with the tank. Works great for me. No more wiggling tank. A pet peeve of mine with 510 connections. Plus it's way more stylin'.

Lol awesome...sorry for the loss but its a funny image...reminds me of a job I used to do cutting grass along the highway years ago and when I got a phonecall on my new cellphone..fumbled it and it fell and i swiftly ran it over with the big back tire of the tractor..cruunch....after buy another nice cellphone a few weeks later almost the same exact thing happened..I felt like repeatedly banging my head into a tree...after this I bought the cheapest POS cellphone I could find.

You remind me of my husband... If it survives, it must be good. So far I've given him two eGo batts (he vapes for fun, he's not nicotine dependant :p) and they've lasted a week...

The Maglite AA-flashlite holster works, if tighter is wanted, get wife to stitch.
I usually have a pv hanging around my neck with a Chums eyeglass retainer.

I carry mine in an eGo ring holster Ego Ring Necklace Red Blue Green,Varialble Colors - Buy Ego Ring Necklace,Ego Lanyard,Ego T Necklace Product on Alibaba.com or if I'm vaping with a 510 connection something like this Cigarrillos electronicos | Paul´s Vapor Store | Sitio Oficial: Los mejores cigarrillos electronicos

The eGo 1000 Twist is too long for the second halyard, the button will be out a little

I started with a sticky button on my Joyetech twist in early august, but it went away on its own and i haven't had any problems since. All my Joyetech batteries are doing good, from the end of june.

I had 2 1000mah twists...both are now broken...1 from pulling it apart so many times to fix the button and the other from pulling the post so many times it destroyed the rubber insulator..now it constantly fires when somethings attached....will never buy another twist....have an SLB ego V now and so far I like it much better than the twists..how long it will last i cant say yet

Mine fell off my dresser onto the carpet. Same thing, crooked button I could fire with my finger nail on the bottom. Saw other posts and tore mine apart, along with the black wire. Did not want to buy a soldering iron and couldn't find one to borrow.

What seemed to happen was a corner of the basket that holds the switch inside broke off. I just ordered another, my 4th, and should get it tomorrow. Twist #2 got wet so I threw it away after the 3rd day, not thinking to open it up to see if that would help dry it out.

Christmas is coming up, so I think my next purchase should be something sturdier as well.

Take it apart and fix it.
I second the handle idea. I just screwed on a Kanger T2 and rocked it back and forth and opened it real easy. the button has a flat side. you want that side at the top. the back side of the button just sits on the clicky button underneath it, so it took a toothpick to slide the card back in and get it to sit right and keep the button in the hole....but, I did it! very proud of myself right now, I just saved $25! Hate to see these go to the waste basket..my buddy has already tossed 4 I could maybe have saved!

The first time I fixed mine I thought the same thing...awesome i just saved some money and that was a super easy fix.....then it started happening once a week....then once a day....then after fixing the button about 100 times the wire finally gave out. At this point I could probably get a new pointy tip for the soldering gun and fix it, but why bother...it was getting to be a pain having to yank it apart constantly.
