Wanted to quit analogs for years, tried the patch, the gum, the laser therapy and hypnosis, nothing. In desperation was going to try champex but saw a guy vaping and asked him ...? Is that? Went down to the local b&m the next day and picked up a vision spinner starter kit and really liked it, then I realized this might be what I was looking for to help me quit. Decided to take the plunge and set a date about two months away to quit totally, by the time that date rolled around was down to just a few smokes each day. Started at 18mg nic and still wentthrough pretty harsh withdrawal due to all the other crap they put in there to keep you hooked, but after a week the worst was over and I realized I could actually do this. Haven't gotten over the psychological addiction yet as I'm still vaping, but it's sure nice to be able to breath without wheezing again! Realizing you are a drug addict paying someone to give you cancer and still not being able to quit is a nasty thing, getting on the vape train ( down to between 3-6mg nic now, sometimes don't vape all day, only when I choose) gives you some hope. Know it won't be fun, set a date, grit your teeth and give it a go, you'll have your vape gear to fall back on and know also that it WILL work! Good luck!

For me it took getting away from tobacco flavors entirely. When I first started vaping I did both, but once I gave up the tobacco flavored juices in my ecig I quickly stopped smoking because I couldn't stand the taste anymore.

For me its been tobacco flavors only from day one. It satisfies the craving that vaping fruity/other stuff may not do. Its part of the tobacco replacement mentality I think. Hangsen has some good tobaccos.

Of course to each his own. :)

As many have stated, you have to want to quit for this to work.
In my findings, you have to find the right combination of eliquids, throat hit, taste, and hardware.
Get the combination sorted out and you'll find yourself wanting the vape over the cig.

I was 1.5 pack a day smoker a few weeks ago, and now down to 3 cigs a day. Soon to be none.
I found that i needed a higher nicotine level to cure the cig. urge.
I look at this as an alternate nicotine delivery sytem.

For me it was never the nic it was always the sensation of the inhale. I started out with ego bats and evods but then quickly moved up in hardware to a vamo v1 then a kamry 100 then the Tesla m7 then built my own mods now I'm ripping on a custom built mod call Ultron its dual 26650 series with twin 510 connections and a mosfet that can handle 150 amps continuous or 600 pulsed. I have one mutation x xl on there with a .26 dual chimney coil build on 24g kanthall with organic cotton and my DIY blend menthol melon its a fanominal vape!

I tried slowly transitioning from analogs to vaping and failed. It was too easy for me to just grab a cigarette since I was still a "smoker". For 6 months or so, I kind of supplemented my smoking with vaping, and really didn't make any progress quitting.

What did work for me, was picking a specific quit date and sticking to it. I decided that on the Monday I chose, I would force myself to vape and would not allow myself a cigarette and lo and behold, it was pretty easy! I won't say I didn't have any cravings, but when I did have them, they were short and easily vaped away! I also kept my exact same routine as when I smoked (for example I would go out side to smoke, so therefore I went outside to vape). I tried to have the same number of vaping sessions as I would have cigarettes. I only vaped in the places and at the times where I would formerly smoke. To me, not feeling like I was making a big lifestyle change made it easier.

Within a week, I was pretty sure I was done with analogs and within 2 weeks, I really felt like I was an ex-smoker. It's a great feeling knowing you won. After smoking for 35 years, I have been analog-free for over seven months and I don't feel any desire to go back to smoking. Since the time I started vaping, I have reduced the nicotine in my juice from 21mg where I started, to 3mg. In the beginning, I only liked tobacco flavored juices, but over time, I started experimenting and found that I enjoyed other flavors as well. Now I rarely vape tobacco flavors at all.

To me, the simple answer is commit to it. Like a earlier poster said, it isn't a magic wand that miraculously makes you an ex-smoker, but it is a great tool that gives you the ability to quit if that's your desire.

Good luck, you can do it!

I have been trying to make the switch for quite Sometime I get very close to dropping cigarettes but i always end up migrating back to them. It took me awhile to find an enjoyable liquid and setup I like. I'm fascinated by the cloud chase. I currently am using a hana v3 with a plume veil and just love it. Does anyone out there have any advice. Also I am using 6ml nicotine CLS from Nicoticket.com love the stuff

The thing that finally made it possible to leave the cigarettes alone was learning to inhale vapor properly. To quote my own website (info which I learned here!),
"... inhale the vapor more slowly: a long, slow pull -- which works best with most devices anyway -- rather than a quick powerful drag, and allowing the vapor to hang around in the mouth and throat before inhaling (or even instead of inhaling), then slowly exhaling through the nose..."

That's from my site, at Angry Vaper - Getting Started

Until I started inhaling my vapor that way, I was unable to dispense with that first smoke in the morning; the first morning I did it this way was my first smoke-free day.

My DH and I decided we wanted to quit and bought the ego t and some stardust clearos and havent touched an analog since! I thought it was going to be hard but it really wasn't we threw out the ash trays, wiped the walls down and did a good cleaning to get the smell out of everything. Not having anything to temp us made the process much easier and telling myself I would be healthier because of it. Good luck!

I started with a higher nicotine level and found a local juice company (Flavor Chaser's Juice, formerly Jersey Mike's Vapes) whos flavor was just better to me than smoking. I was using an evod spinner with a kanger protank2 mini and I was using a 28mg nicotine level menthol/green apple juice. I went from a pack a day to vaping a 4mg nicotine in about 4 months of no gicarettes whatsoever and have been at the same nic level ever since! Best of luck and stay strong!!!

i had the same issue. i found using my old smaller ego bat with a tobacco flavor in 24mg nic juice worked. i use an svd with a variety of low nic flavors but some times i crave that real cig sensation. i find the smaller lighter battery gives me that hand feel, the higher nicotine give me that rough hit and the flavor is spot on. i don't use it for vaping other than to squash that real cig urge.
