Have been vaping for 2+ months. Just can't get no satisfaction. I am sure some of it is user error on my part

1- started with a Volt kit. cartos. It was fine but could not taste anything

2- ordered various extra strength liquids. still can't taste anything

3- got a great deal on a t-rex. hmmm, well this is...better. But, I want MORE. luckily you can buy tons of crap with a 510 threading!

4- started crazily buying various cartos, dual coil cartos, boge LR, clearomizers, attys, carts, more ego batts. Sometimes......it was great. Many times it was more like almost but not quite reaching the big O. heck, I have crap I haven't even tried yet.

where I am now? Mainly with an ego batt and attys. attys give me the most flavor, but still leave me wanting.

I have tried various 510 attys. Sometime great, sometimes suck. inconsistent

tried 306. The LR seemed to be too much for my batt. The SR leaked all the time

tried a debridged, dewicked 510. meh

currently using a 901. started out pretty good, but now I feel like I am just getting this tiny little wisp of vapor.

read about other attys that people think are great- dual coil, hh357, but after my batt freaking with the LR306, I am afraid to try anything 'fancy'

what I want? to taste the vapor, to FEEL the vapor in my mouth(not necessarily my throat). Right now I feel like I am sucking air. I think I want a moistness? to the vapor? Not even sure if that is possible. I like vapor. its fun. hell if I know why!

what do I need? I would not mind spending $$ if I knew I could get what I want. But, maybe that does not even exist?

Not sure if higher volts is what I need. Does a hotter vape take away from flavor? Kind of wondering about an e-power but don't know if that will be more of the same. Maybe an ego booster? But there seem to be quality issues with those.

sometimes I read "this vapes like a freight train". yeah, I want that, but with flavor too

I just wish it was not so expensive to figure out what would make me happy

Sounds like you are trying and trying but making little progress...let's see if this helps.

It seems to me that you need to pay attention to the PG/VG ratio of your liquids. Generally, MORE VG means MORE vapor but LESS flavor and LESS throat-hit. The converse is true - MORE PG means MORE throat-hit and flavor but LESS vapor.

If you stick with cartomizers then the fabric-filled kind (like the Boge LR) work better with thicker juices. Clearomizer/CE2 types are better for higher PG ratio liquids.

Try a 60% PG to 40% VG mix and adjust your nicotine level - you didn't say what nic level you are using - as this, too, can have an effect on TH.

Certainly, the 'moist' vapor you talk about comes from having a higher VG content in the liquid.

Correct, except that above 20% vg liquid, and cartos dont mesh well. VG kills cartos and fast. You'll notice a signifigant draw change within a couple days. High vg is best for dripping on atties.
BUT- I would at least try an 80%pg/20%vg mix. If you need bigger hit- the best atty is a cylinder(type B). (Not the ego T version either, standard atty kind)
Boge 2.0 is best carto.
Past that- your jumping into variable volt, or just plain high volt and starting over testing all the above again in hv mode :p
Personally- 4.2 volt with any LR anything, is just plain sweeeeeet. But thats just me. :p
T-rex isnt the best ego style batt...just heads up.
If you get into mods and tanks- They work well becuase the atty or carto stays really wet. That scenerio is sounding like what you want...wetter, harder hit etc. I use a gg and ufs for that. But for easy setup with good capacity and great hit- cylinder atties on your ego will do the trick.

The Hardware:

The question is: do you love 306 LR when it's not leaking? If the answer is "Yes" then:
Go buy yourself a Reo, either a Grand or a Mini. Get some 306 LR atties with that. That'll solve your Quality issues, no more leaking too.

If the answer is no then:
Get a VariVolt PV. A provari or a darwin or a Buzzpro, etc.

Higher voltage has always given me more flavor, no matter what my vg/pg ratio. Pair it up with the right atty/carto and the right flavor e-liquid and I've got vaping bliss.

I love vapor. The more the better and higher voltage with a 3ohm Boge will deliver it.

VV devices are fantastic and that's really what I'd suggest for most folks that are searching for their personal best vaping experience. They can be had in simple box mod form from around $35 (+ batts and charger) up to the higher end ProVari and Darwin type mods and even bottom feeder VV mods. (I use the ProVari and the VV Hog feeder mod...and have a tiny VV Little Sister mod on the way. I use tanks on the non-feeder, the Chibi from Parkes Vaping with the 3ohm Boge in it.) Being able to set your own personal sweet spot for any carto/atty/juice at any time is really key to finding happiness with your vaping experience IMO.

On the flip side of that is sticking with what you've got and tweaking it a bit. Try the 1.7ohm Smoktech cartos (crystal clear vaping has them, "Ressurectors") with a VG ratio of 20 or 30%. The vapor will be a bit warmer, more flavorful and there will be more of it. You can get those same cartos in a tank at Parkesvaping as well. The 2ohm Boge is a great carto and I was true fan (and still am if I've got one in a tank) for a long LONG time...but I've found that the single coil Smoktech has even better flavor and vapor production and just a bit more heat as well as holding more liquid and lasting me a couple days longer before I have to toss them.

Don't give up! You still have options and your personal best vaping is still out there waiting to be discovered and enjoyed. :)
