If they refuse to listen to us, it will be just like any other time they decided to throw common sense, decency, and the notion of the 'land of the free' right into the trash because they got in the way of both their own and their corporate sponsor's corrupt interests; it will be par for the course and there will be little (but not nothing...) we can do about it.

If they refuse to listen? The constitution clearly states to overthrow it.

But infringing on ones liberties has been a priority of the government since the transcontinental railroad.

I can promise you that whatever regulation comes is already known to big tobacco and will be cost effective for them.

in that case the blood of every vaper that decides to resort to picking up a nasty, rotten, filthy cigarette will be on their hands. they should be convicted murders. they would be responsible for taking the first and best real harm reduction device out of the hands of millions of people that are much healthier with that alternative then when they were consuming tobacco. it would be the most irresponsible thing the government could do to society.

The last (best chance)time American's attempted to exercise their constitutional rights was the civil war which was not about slavery which was fast dying of its own evil. I am about 7th/8th gen Southron (not southerner)& my folks abhorred (as did most others)the bondage of another. The 'emancipation proclamation' was not about freeing one race, but rather enslaving all races irrespective of what one was/is taught in school. Remember, the victor gets to write the history of any conflict. A great book states that 'evil men have crept in unawares'. We have been played like the proverbial fiddle & good folk have been trying to warn us for well over a 150 yr only to be laughed at/vilified by their fellows. We have sown to the wind,& shall reap the whirlwind!

There's a rumor this is the true reason the government wishes
to abolish the 2nd Amendment ... and the 1st Amendment
and ... Oh, well ... why not throw out the entire Constitution.

Your cig line is sadly true. Also, sad to say Petrodus, the Constitution has been gone for over 150 yr+. It is a mere byword. The tics use the 'bill of rights' to grant rights to one group, while trampling the rights of another. Like playing both ends against the middle. Since a nations leaders are a direct reflection of it's people, we dare not look in the mirror. Golden parachutes for the tics, debt for the people. Again, Orwelle stated; 'the people will defend the system that would enslave them'. I should make that my sig. While this nation owes almost $200,000,000,000 in obligations (not to mention the actual debt),These clowns on ESPN are blabbing on&on&on&on&on&on&on&on&on&on about the super bowl as though nothing else is of import. The talking heads (including newscasters)as well as the athletes are paid for their silence on anything weightier then a feather.

I really do understand ... You and I are from the same generation.

We have both have personally witnessed in our lifetime more stolen rights,
freedoms, and privileges than most reading these words can imagine.

America was never perfect and each generation had its issues with government.
However, I think you will agree with me when I say "I feel a deep emotional
sense of embarrassment witnessing where America is today compared with
where it was when we were coming of age".

The government has reasons why they don't want older people around
and it has nothing to do with being a negative drain on health care ...
We know too much and they don't intimidate us ... We have a tendency
to spread the "Truth Virus" !!
:p
