So I'm thinking....

Pretty much all of us that are vaping are trashing analogs, and are saying how much better this is (myself included)

But what if vaping was suddenly outlawed... no more e-liquid, no more batteries, no more nothing....... zero.
It all ceased to exist...

Would we go back to analogs, or some other source of nicotine?

nicorettes, patch, etc

Opinions?

There will always be a market for vaping, even if it is a black market which I would readily use. Vaping, like analogs, aren't going anywhere as long as there is a demand for them. They outlawed the use of recreational drugs, and people can still get their hands on them.

Now, IF this would occur.....I would NEVER go back to analogs. I cannot use the gum or the patch because I am allergic to them, or at least some of the chemicals they use in them. I would likely learn to deal with it. After all I am aiming at 0mg nicotine by this fall.

I wouldn't I would figure a way or just quit everything. I don't want to go back to analogues. Plus as paranoid as it sounds the tobacco industry I think is strong on regulating vaping because of the money they are losing. I can't support that. Plus the patches made me want to smoke more and the gum tasted bad and Chantix made my head just race and race. This is what works.

Man, the more I've gotten into vaping, the more that is becoming an active fear, especially considering the amount of money invested. I would hate to go back to analogs, but the whole schtick of vaping is you still get to have your vice, it's just your vice doesn't cause lung cancer or emphysema! (making assumptions here with the absence of any long term studies)

I would like to think I wouldn't, but probably.

Agreed... I would like to think I wouldn't, but probably.

I think I would give some alternatives a try, but been there, done that... didn't work......... I actually like vaping, as much, if not more than smoking analogs....... it would be a shame to go back to analogs.. a real shame.

No way! There are too many ways to build your own devices and too many ways to make your own juices. They may ban them but there are too many other applications for ingredients in juice and the materials for being able to build your own PV. If it weren't for the fact that most BT companies are diversified in other products, I would boycott them altogether (tried that once until I researched how many commonly used products they are invested in).

If your scenario came about, I suspect tobacco would be dead too. In this stupid stupid world, that would be like outlawing penicillin and supporting arsenic.

I wouldn't stop. I will buy on the black market and just make my own coils, juices, etc.

But assuming none of that was possible, no. I'd just go cold turkey. As others have said, BT has been screwing us over so much I would never support them. Such awful, corrupt companies. I wouldn't do any of the pharmacological methods of quitting either. Chantix makes people want to jump off a bridge and the patches haven't worked for anyone I know, so I don't have much hope for them.

But really, unless the government comes to my house and takes my stuff, I won't stop vaping. And even then, I'd probably just black market new stuff LOL.

I won't go back to analogs. Since just about all the hardware is made in China anyway, it would be difficult for them to prevent getting it. The raw materials for the juice would be easy to get. I doubt that it's going to be outlawed anyway. They ought to be offering pvs at health units IMO as a better way to quit smoking.

Even if they made it illegal I would just build my own mods & drippers, and make my own juice. The only hard thing would be getting nic concentrate, and I'm sure I could get that from china/india/wherever. Just purchase multiple small quantities. Even if some are seized many will inevitably make it threw customs.

Yep. That worked for Prohibition. LOL!

Really though, unless this hypothetical decree of tyranny were enacted overnight (an impossibility of course), there would be ample time to stock up supplies to last a very long time.

CONGATULATIONS ! Since it's Sunday, day number one on the World calendar, this is likely the first time this subject has been posted this week  No, I would never smoke again ever. Answered weekly, sometimes daily since joining ECF. Just kidding, it seems that way sometimes though.

There are to many ways to be creative with this whole vaping thing. If I couldn't easily get nic, I would come up with some way to extract myself or find a good "drug dealer". heehee I don't think I would ever go back to smoking because I now think it tasted nasty. It tasted nasty for 40 plus years but I didn't realize it.
