Obviously ECF is number 1 on the list and, personally, I would put pbusardo's site as my next choice but I would like to know what others have found helpful. I am working on an information packet for my doctor to hand out to a few of his patients that want to quit smoking and want to know more about vaping. Basically, he wants me to tell how it worked for me, how it has improved my health, and where can they go to get information. I know that there are probably lots of great sources of good information and I would appreciate any recommendations that any of you have.

I know you will get some good info from the folks here who are not new, like me. Let me say I think it's really great that your doctor is interested in e cigarettes and that you are helping him get the word out.

Thanks for the replies. And yes, Buggainok, I have a pretty cool dr. It started with me telling him I quit smoking because of vaping. I see him once a month so each visit he would ask me more and more about it and he was almost as excited as I was that it was working. He has a patient with COPD who, like me, had tried everything else without success. He asked if he could give my phone number to this patient so I could tell him about it and I was happy to help. The patient is now a vaper so my dr. has had me talk to a few others too so I thought it might be helpful if I just do up a few pages with info for him to give to the patients that want to quit smoking. It is basically just a "here is how I did it and it worked for me so if you want to learn more check out this information" type of deal because he can't really prescribe this so to speak. By the way, the guy with COPD is doing a lot better health wise so I think that fact, plus the fact that my health has improved a lot, really convinced my dr. that this was a good option. He believes it is certainly better than smoking and at least he is open minded enough to tell other patients about it. I'm sure he did some research on his own too. We definitely need more doctors like him.

I think Thrasher is right...I should get a consult fee! I think that the majority of members here go out of their way to help others, certainly a lot more than me, so if I can help a little to spread the word in the end it helps us all. I bet if more people talked to their doctors about how much it has helped them with their health there might be more doctors doing what mine is doing.
dmadsen: yes that was funny. At least I finally got the info.

You have an awesome doctor. I see mine once a month as well, and last time he snapped a few pictures of my set ups. MVP 2 and an iTaste VV v3. He's been recommending cigalikes and they haven't been working for other patients. If they didn't sell out of them, I'd direct him to where I got my original, $15 blister pack, 650 mAh, VV eg style passthrough and bottom coil clearo that took Evod heads. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find anything like it for $15 aside from Fasttech anymore. Maybe I'll direct him to fasttech...

Sounds like you have a pretty awesome doctor too, Tinkiegrrl. I bet there are others who have doctors that think it is much better than smoking but I wonder how many of them would do what our doctors do. I also wonder how many people out there would have stuck with vaping and quit the cigs if they knew that there were better things than cigalikes. I live in CT and cigs are $8 a pack so buying an ego kit and some juice is nothing to most of us. And because of the ease of use and quality of vape I am tempted to start recommending the aspire bdc's with the ego style batts. All in all, it will be a lot cheaper than smoking.
