What is a durable setup that will not break in a pocket during a hard labor job?

My husband works on a ship doing lots of heavy labor, and likes to carry his ecig in his work pants. He has broken two spinner batteries and a few protanks. He works in small spaces, and hits things pretty frequently which is probably why they broke.

He wants to get a drip setup with a mechanical mod, and I only use tanks on vv/vw mods so I don't know what to suggest for him. He is a heavy smoker and smokes about 50/50 with high nicotine content. He wants to invest in a new setup that is durable and will hold up in his pocket during work. I've suggested getting a carrying case for his pocket, but he thinks that will take up too much room. Any suggestions are welcome, thanks in advance.

That seems like it could work. He's really set on a mechanical battery instead of a box/variable mod though. I honestly don't know if there is a difference in how durable the two are though. Any suggestions on good tanks or drip setups that would pair with it? He has a knack for breaking tanks and wants to drip. I'm not sure how convenient dripping will be for him on a ship/short break at work though. I believe that removing the tank from the battery to put it in his pocket would help prevent it from breaking, but I'm not sure if that's true?

I am in pretty much the same boat your husband's in. After Spinner 5 I have
bought my last one. Istick batteies last a very long time and charges very fast.

I also had to drop any tank with glass or buy the ones with the metal sleeves.
A broke rig has him looking for a cigerette, or could. Dripping to me doesn't
sound like a good idea for a guy at work or a job like he has anyway.

I definitely think he needs a box mod or a mechanical mod, but I'm worried that he'll want a variable volt/watt once he doesn't have it. We're on a tight budget and after spending this money he's saved up he won't be able to buy a second one if he's unhappy with the first. I agree, I don't think dripping will work with his job. At home, sure, but on a busy ship where he has limited time/space? Probably not. How do iStick compare to others, such as an MVP or a mechanical? Any difference in durability? Or are most things that are beyond the spinners generally more durable?

If he's insisting on a dripper, maybe something like this: EHPro Valkyrie Black - EHPro - Mechanical Mods

I don't drip (which is the only reason I'm not getting a Valkyrie myself). Planning on getting myself a Billet Box for my birthday, for when I'm riding: Billet Box Vapor

The Valkyrie looks like an ideal drip option if he does decide to drip. Thanks for sharing it. I prefer the tanks, so I'm having a hard time understanding why he wants to drip, but I think it's because he has a lot of friends that do who are recommending it to him. As long as it works for him, I don't care. I haven't seen the Billet Box before, that's a pretty sweet device.

NP. Like I said, I'd grab a Valkyrie if I dripped

Since the iStick w/bending adapter has been mentioned, here's mine (next to my Sigelei and a 30ml bottle)

How about a Kato box mod clone? Not for dripping, but solid, HEFTY mod. Pair it with a RSBT hybrid (note: NOT RSST), which has a metal sleeve to protect the glass tank, and you have a rugged setup.

But note that some users report that the locking ring comes loose easily and you might fire it accidentally. It's also HEAVY and may drag his pants down. :)

I never figured on getting the fold up gadget for my Istick but with
that kick back tip you added with it it looks like a great way to go!

If you need a strong mech mod look at the K100.
They are crazy strong.
I dropped mine off the fire escape and it only got light scratches. My friends girl threw his out of the window doing 45mph and it still works.
It uses 18350/18500/18650 battery and has both ego and 510 connection.
I ran a stainless aspire et-s on it for at work and even dropping it or smacking it on stuff at least 2 or 3 times a night I never had trouble.

The K100 can be had cheap too so not a big loss if he manages to find a way to kill it.

That looks like a good solution. He's worried about tanks sticking too far up on a box mox, so he might be interested in this one. Lol, he has so much in his pockets I doubt this would drag it down, but who knows!

Definitely worth looking into. Thanks!
